Smartwood flooring (Scotland)

We had oak flooring installed as of last week on the ground floor of our house - two fairly big-sized rooms (lounge and dining), the entrance hall, and the hallway as part of the home improvement project which continues apace. Being new to the place (we relocated to Scotland back end of November last year) but more crucially, with no support network of friends to rely on for recommendations, it was rather difficult to get a head start. This was not helped by the fact that we knew absolutely nothing about the subject. And Smart Wood Flooring came to the rescue here - huge thanks to Checkatrade, and clearly, the time spent researching the project paid real dividends. My wife and I are super-delighted with the outcome - superb craftsmanship with a quality that surpassed all expectations.Alex was most proactive from the outset - always prompt at responding to my queries and discussing the plan in person. He scoped a range of options for our consideration but it was his outstanding trade expertise and reasoned advice which made decision-making all the more smooth. A plan executed with precision - timely, accurate and very much military-like.Brandon did the initial prep work and showed a genuine passion for his brief. Highly skilled, thorough and professional, and he is great company! A tradesman at the top of his game.We have a small section of the floor still, which Alex and Brandon will come and fix at some stage. That plus other future projects which await, and Smart Wood Flooring (Scotland) WILL be back for these and more. Absolutely.Thank you, Alex and Brandon for a job superbly done.

Alex & Brandon have done an amazing job restoring my parquet wood flooring. They turned up on time, kept the place neat and tidy, communicated well and went over and above to get the job done. There were huge sections missing which have been replaced using wood we found under the laminate in the kitchen. The quality of work is outstanding and I couldn’t be happier! We were so pleased with the work that Alex and Brandon did in our home. They arrived when they stated and carried out the work in a professional manner. They very kindly assisted us to move any furniture that we found too heavy to move ourselves. The finished job was excellent and the place was left in a clean condition. I would highly recommend this hard working duo to anybody wishing to upgrade or restore their flooring.

They were amazing. Although expensive the job Brandon done was second to none. He was amazing, incredibly knowledgeable about everything to do with my floors and I would hire them again without any question.
