The White Swan
On arrival it soon became apparent that the owner was not happy to welcome you, after ordering drinks and being told that this is a country pub so some beers would not be available? We looked through the menu, ( which in my view was very poor and expensive) my wife had the garlic mushrooms, I had the beef burger we both had a sweet, on the way home my wife was not feeling well and when we arrived home she was sick and on and off the toilet, it wasn't long after that I also was having to use the toilet, so after this experience I wouldn't recommend this pub/restaurant

Mum & I visited today for the first time, following a friend's recommendation. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Rob behind the bar. We ordered our drinks and then were shown to our table. We had a good choice of starters and main courses, however we just ordered the mains. Mum had the roast beef and I had the slow cooked lamb. The plates arrived with the meat, roast potatoes, parsnips and gravy. (We had advised them that Mum didn't like onions or onion flavouring so they made her some separate gravy for her beef). They served cauliflower cheese, carrots, cabbage and broccoli in a separate dish. The lamb was to die for, it just fell apart, so lean and tasty in the rosemary gravy. Mum and I were in food heaven, savouring every mouthful. They cleared our plates and offered the dessert menu. We both choose the mango and coconut cheesecake.... so smooth and creamy. All desserts were homemade. All the staff were friendly and checked that everything was ok during our meal. We really didn't feel like this was our first visit as everyone was so welcoming. We liked it so much that we've booked a return visit.

The White Swan
Disappointing after some really good previous experiences including dinner without booking soon after the pub re-opened which encouraged further visits for Summer patio lunches but then had a lacklustre dinner with family in July.Lunch today was disappointing - wet fish with tasteless peas and tartare sauce.

This is one of them extraordinary pubs with really delicious quality food. The products were fresh and cooked to perfection! I really recommend wholeheartedly this place! And it’s pet friendly too! A lovely place indeed !!

This is a great pub to stop in at if you have little ones. Their playground is a nice addition to keep the kids distracted while the adults talk.Service was great. Food was decent.

Locally known as the Brown Hen or Dirty Duck, This is a great pub and restaurant, we cycle ask the way from Haddenham for the beer and food.I love the bar it is very low, suits all dwarfs, with the beers all served from the barrel behind. A lovely wood burning stove keeps us all warm. Lots of eating places both inside and outside in a tented enclosed area. A good children's play area outside as well.

Heard great things about The White Swan, but was left feeling very underwhelmed. I had the suet pudding, which was certainly subpar. It was tough rather than stodgy and whilst filling the sne can be said of wallpaper paste. Not much flavour. On the other hand my mum had fish which was very nice. For what it cost, I've had much better and would expect better. I didn't really think it much of an atmosphere either despite being busy. Our bill was low because we only had one drink.

What a lovely pub. Locals gathered around the bar, wood stove radiating heat, Ghost ship straight off the cask, quality food served with a smile, the duo of lamb was standout and cooked to absolute perfection as was the fondant potato that accompanied it. A great example of a pub serving food that’s got the balance right. Summed upPerfectly by my “foodie” 9yr old who also had the lamb “that was absolutely banging!”

Lovely updated pub/restaurant. Very welcoming interior and nice front garden with tables and a children's play area. Rear patio seating is nice as well. Large groups seating is available as there was a group of about 10 or 12 enjoying their evening. Table service was very good...attentive when necessary, and let us sit and chat after we were finished with our meal. Another location to add to my Return" list. And if you're lucky
