I booked an appointment with Deborah to have ribbons and elastics sewed onto dance shoes. Despite my request being somewhat unusual, she was able to sew the ribbons straight away while I waited.At a later appointment when I had issues with some ill-fitting dance shoes, she spent over an hour helping me find a solution, suggesting and testing a number of possibilities and once again finishing the sewing while I waited.Her work is of high quality, and I would strongly recommend her services to anyone who needs some alterations, whether simple or more complex ones.

I took several items to Deborah for alterations and I was absolutely thrilled with the results. She was extremely professional and the work (over a variety of different fabrics, each requiring different alterations) was of excellent quality. Her pricing was very reasonable and she was happy to give me quotes and then let me decide what I wanted to get done. Highly recommended.

I took 3 pairs of scrub trousers to Deborah to have the waistbands changed from elastic to draw string. She did a wonderful job on them. They look fabulous and are now super comfy. She also encouraged me to get going with some sewing of my own. Very friendly and efficient - I would definitely recommend her.

Deborah was able to squeeze me in on a Saturday afternoon and did the hem of a formal dress while I waited, which was wonderful. She did a beautiful job too, she changed the hem to better match the dress style, was careful about the length, and the stitching held through a bit of rough usage. I don't know Cambridge pricing but I thought her fees were reasonable, and she was friendly and chatty. I would recommend her work!

Deborah took up my wedding dress and also one of my bridesmaids dresses. She was fantastic, very friendly and she did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend her work to anyone who needs and alterations.

Amazing experience getting a delicate, silk ball dress - bought and worn many years ago - fitted and reshaped for my daughter to wear to her Prom. Deborah helped us make design decisions every step of the way and the result is stunning. The dress has never looked better! Thank you and we will certainly look forward to coming back to you in the future :-)

Deborah truly goes above and beyond in helping customers. She even responded to my daughter's ball dress emergency while she was on holiday and even offered to come back from holiday a day early to make the alteration to Dave the day. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Deborah did a brilliant job of altering my items, one of which was a challenging task. She is highly committed to altering the garments to a standard where you can't even tell they have been altered. She is very friendly and helpful too - would definitely recommend!

Deborah the Seamstress is absolutely the best place in Cambridge to take clothing for alterations. She does incredible work and altered my wedding dress to the perfect fit. She demonstrated she can work with delicate material and come up with creative solutions to difficult seams and fit issues. Best of all, I felt immediately comfortable with Deborah. Every meeting was like seeing a long-standing friend even though we'd never met until I brought my dress to her. I cannot recommend her services highly enough! Thank you, Deborah!
