Rochester BJJ

Highly highly recommend for any women wanting to get into BJJ. A friend I wanted to try BJJ, mainly to learn something knew and to learn how to defend ourselves. We came along to one of their classes on Monday and it was amazing. They were so understanding and patient with me and my friend, who had never tried BJJ before. We really felt like we learnt a lot and it was really great. We will definitely be coming to more of their classes. Thank you for having us guys!

I recently attended my first session at this place and it was a fantastic experience. The venue is easily accessible and the free parking made it even more convenient. Checking in at the reception was a breeze with the tablet registration system – just tap your vehicle's registration and you're good to go. Reception were very friendly with pointing out where to go.The instructors were top-notch, clearly masters of their craft. They covered an interesting subject in the lesson – maintaining a safe position while on the ground when facing a standing opponent/attacker. They also taught us how to create opportunities to either get back on our feet, maintain a safe distance or advance to an offensive position. Their expertise and guidance made the learning process enjoyable and effective.I am eager for the next class, as I can't wait to further enhance my knowledge in this art. If you're looking to start Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or seeking to further develop your experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It's an excellent choice for both beginners and those looking to enhance their skills in this martial art.

Had a great experience with Rochester BJJ. Rodrigo and Olivia are both welcoming and knowledgeable, creating an environment great for all levels. Changing rooms and showers to wash off the sweat from a solid session. Definitely will be back.

My son has just started in the teens class and really enjoys it. It’s only a small class as Rochester BJJ is fairly new itself but that means they benefit from really good one to one coaching. Rodrigo and Olivia are brilliant with the boys, very patient and full of encouragement. Their enthusiasm for BJJ shines through and to be fair it needs to as teenage boys can be a tough crowd!I’ve no doubt my son’s confidence and ability will improve week after week here as they genuinely want to pass on their love of BJJ to a new generation. I can’t recommend it enough.

Honestly a must if you want to train BJJ. High-level coaching, a friendly team and a great atmosphere.

For a long time I wanted to start BJJ and I am so glad that a local club has started. The coaches Rodrigo and Olivia are excellent! It can be daunting starting a martial arts class, but their knowledge and experience paired with the great training environment has been great. White belts (beginners) can expect a safe controlled environment to learn in. Other students of higher belts are also friendly and supportive. I’m already hooked.
