St David's Children's Centre

I asked for a face to face appointment since I've never actually seen the person my son is under in person was told their books open in August it's November still no appointment! I rung again asked to speak with my doctor as a matter of urgency i was told he would be back in on thursday two months later he still hasn't rung me. When I've tried to ring again its just going to answer phone you can't leave a message either. They are useless they don't help at all just give you a diagnosis and send you on your way to deal with it alone no help no support NOTHING!!

From what I see on here, people clearly feel the same as I do.Grandson with obvious issues from age 2, taken this long to 8 yrs, to get to this hospital.And what a HUGE disappointment. Doctor was abrasive and unpleasant, no support. Has give the diagnosis and medication, but 2 months later, no statement letter.My daughter who works extremely hard as full time carer could get so much more help with this statement.Is she deliberately without holding it to spite us because I contacted a local MP last year due to the constant waiting and waiting.The boy has been failed.He was given medication which he says has helped him and then as we were about to run out, tried to order more and it’s taken more than 2 weeks to get.As previously stated on here, the phones are hardly ever answered.They kept telling her, “it was all in process”Surely it shouldn’t be this ridiculously hard.They know the date a prescription was given, just arrange for it to be ready for the date it runs out. Is that just too logical for them.As a result, he’s had a break in the meds and we’ve had a very difficult Easter.I did wonder if it was an isolated incident, but reading these reviews, I see it’s not.I understand we’ve come through a dreadful pandemic, but I was also working in care with my daughter throughout the lockdowns. Vulnerable ppl still needed intense personal care. We had to carry on. (I’ve since left to help with my grandson )I hope there’s monitoring of these reviews, because it’s dreadful reading. It’s a fail. And I can sadly confirm this with our experience.

Just tryed to ring but u cant leave a message and it keeps saying ring again later did that and still nothing what's the point in having hospital if they dont pick up

Why they have phones is a mystery, nobody answers but if u let it ring long enough eventually someone will pick up and immediately put the phone down, but if you do somehow manage to get through they bounce you from department to department until someone hangs up on you. They are near impossible to get hold of, extremely difficult to get prescriptions even if you physically go to the hospital, and they do not arrange follow up appointments. My child is supposed to have follow ups every 3 months but has only had 2 in 12 months. If you go to the hospital to complain it doesnt matter who you speak to they blame it on someone else. The fact that these people are prescribing medication and treating children is utterly disgusting as they dont seem to care about their patients at all.

Trying to get a prescription for my son. Just getting answer machines which tell you not to leave messages due to high call volume! Ridiculous!

I wouldn't even give a quarter of a star! Been waiting for months for my Daughters Dr to contact me, even with letters in from my GP! Been waiting 8 months then had a letter the otherday saying they tried to contact me on a number I've never seen before! I've had the same number for 15 years and the Dr have contacted me on my number before! Excuse after excuse! This service is absolutely terrible and its children who is suffering!!

I wouldn't even give 1star. No body answers the phone, so cancelling appointments if needed proves difficult and then you get the threatening letter! Organising medication again is an absolute joke! Constantly chasing up, promised a call back and it's never done! 8 days waiting for medication which my son needs.
