Prenton Golf Club

Played today in a 2 ball. Course and greens in magnificent condition the club pro is a gentleman, the bar staff are friendly and the members we spoke to couldn't of been more helpful and chatty. This is what all golf clubs should be like but we all know this is not the case

I'm not a golfer but do appreciate a good venue and this rates highly. They are holding a charity night for Motor Neurons Disease and the facilities are excellent and the staff delightful. Clearly they are well used to hosting functions and have their own events manager. The room we are using is upstairs and there is a list making access for disabled, easy. All in all a great place.

Played this course last Thursday with a group of past captains. Teams of four in a Calcutta. The rain stayed away and as a team event all had a good day. Playing from the yellows makes the course more enjoyable particularly for the older guys. The course was in good order and the greens ran well. A few tricky pin positions to test your skill, take it on or miss safe? The fairways, first cut were good and the ball sat up well. It's all in front of you and a few ditches across the fairway gives you choices. A couple of small ponds adjacent some holes to catch a mishit and one in front of the par three 16. I never lost a ball even when I hit the rough, if your way off you would. I have played here before so was missing in the right places. A test for first timer. The third green for example slopes more than it looks. A tricky dogleg 18 to finish, short but the two tier green. Playing partner above the hole went past it down and off the green. Take care with these tiers. After changing the meal was ready for us and sat down to be served food, efficient staff members. We finished early so many sat out food with table service with a smile, happy staff.

Had a very enjoyable day out with our ladies. The course was in good condition, fairways had just been cut and loved the interesting greens. Our meal afterwards was very tasty and beautifully presented. Another bonus, the members in the club house were very friendly.

Second visit here .It rained all day last visit , but today it was a great experience .Tricky greens, velvet fairways , worth a visit.

Course was in ok condition. Was with a society. Quite old school. Cottage pie and chips was delicious after :)

Lovely warm welcome, friendly staff and a great venue for celebrations. More than just a golf club, this place has a great community feel for golfers and offers a fabulous venue and catering for those looking to celebrate a special occasion.
