This is a long overdue review, and where do I begin? I had been to two other veterinary practices before joining Meadow Lane and it was by far the best decision. A previous vet from a different practice gave my young dog a prognosis of 3 months to live due to a rare gastrointestinal condition, we came to Meadow Lane because we wanted to give our dog the best shot and find a practice that would work with us to provide the best care for as long as possible. Thankfully, my dog is still here, over 18 months later and living her very best life; it would not be possible without the care provided by Jenny and all of the wonderful staff at Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre. Jenny had to drain my dog during lockdown, she spent over 2.5 hours manually removing 6 litres of fluid from her abdomen. The two other veterinary practices had refused to do this and what became apparent in that moment is that Meadow Lane simply care for the well-being of our pets, above all else. Not once have they recommended euthanasia or told us to prepare for the worse, actually they have been our glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak situation. I have since had 2 of my neighbours complain about our previous vet (Cockburns in Coalville) and they have subsequently been referred to Meadow Lane. They cannot praise them enough either. Thank you so much. Your service is worth every penny and more. The 1st image is taken from March/April 2020, before and after Coco had her abdomen drained. The 2nd and 3rd images show her now.

If I could give this vets a 0 star I would! They have been no help with my mentally ill uncle at all! We have care and are the primary contact but yet there still calling a mentally ill man regarding this and asking him constant for operations and stuff with him not being in a stable mind even though when we was there his sisters number was given and consent from him! I feel the whole time we have been with them they have taken advantage of us and the situation.DO NOT RECOMMEND

No warm welcome on arrival. Poor communication. No full check over on my pup. No guidance after treatment. Didn’t feel like a professional environment. Witnessed other unsatisfied customers. Animals being treated in waiting room. Customers personal finances being spoken loudly about in-front of everyone. Would not be visiting again.

We took our dog Max to be sent to Doggie heaven, the staff couldn't have been nicer, upon arrival the receptionist could see we were all upset, and. Found us a private room immediately. The vet came in and explained the whole procedure and was so kind. They made the whole sad event as bearable as it could be. They didn't rush us out after Max had passed, and left us as long as we needed to say our final goodbyes. Thank you to all the all the staff for everything.

Always helpful, always friendly. I have used them for years. Recommended.UPDATE Sept 2023 - No longer a five star review. I have been a customer here for years and in the last few months have seen a decline in the level of service. I am no longer seen on time and have had to wait up to an hour! I am busy and expect to be seen within a reasonable time if I have booked an appointment. People pay enough and waiting up to an hour is not acceptable. Also, I have found some of the current vets disengaged, abrupt, pushy (maybe trying to get more money out of me), preoccupied and obviously very busy. We're all very busy! We bring our animals to you because we love them and care about them and we expect a certain level of engagement and professionalism. The place seems chaotic and disorganised even when there aren't many people in the waiting room.I am sad that I had to change my review from five to two stars and as a loyal customer, I really hope to see some improvements soon.

I have to say that having been with this practice for quite a while, the Vets are very good. However the front of house staff are not so good. They appear disorganized and not particularly customer focused. I'm writing this after a couple of interactions with them on different occasions recently, so not just a one off. Some training with them about what it means to be a receptionist might help. Standing waiting for even an acknowledgement for eg for over 5 mins! Also the Practice has now moved to a system of having to order basic meds, such as worming pills. I have waited a week until the 'system' of vets signing, ordering etc, before I can collect. Previously we just used to call in, ask for a pill, buy it and go! Not very good. The last time I went in to collect, the pills were still not ready! This needs to be sorted as it is complete bureaucratic nonsense.
