Firth joinery

I was quoted a price for fitting my flooring and skirting by Ryan, it took him longer than he thought. (he still had to come back to fix some trims).End of day 2 he demanded x2 day rate BUT we had a agreed a price for job. I only had the money for the quoted job with me. I paid him the that but he was not happy, I was alone and to avoid any heated arguements I offered to pay him an extra £95 (which I did not have with me, I promised to transfer it into his account 2 days later).As promised, 2 days later I sent the extra £95 to his bank account. Contractually, I did not have to because he had given me a price for the job and that is all I owed him.This was 4 weeks ago, since then I have been calling him to come fix the trims but no answer or reply. Eventually he did come back to me after 2 weeks saying he had been in hospital for 8 days without his phone and that he will book me in for a Saturday 2 weeks on. I waited 2 weeks. Come this Saturday Ryan fails to show up, respond or reply.I get the message, he is not coming to finish off the flooring.Advice guys:1. Take all quotes in writing from him.2. Don't pay until it's ALL done.p.s. I did wait 48 hours before leaving this review, allowing him time to get in touch.
