Just had a panini and tea with an old school friend and was delighted to see Morgan working there now! He was as charming as usual and made us feel very welcome. Food and service was perfect. Lovely setting by the lake. I will be back soon.

Lovely venue. Staff nice and friendly. Menu states bloomer bread used for toasties at a cost £5.50 but (seemed like value) white square bread used. Menu doesn't state it comes with salad, which I didn't eat and gave it to my partner, as it was covered in dressing. I think the dressing should be on the side. 2 extra hot latte's ordered nice tasting coffee but served luke warm and in a tea cup. I would rather pay extra for a mug or larger cup. Limited menu.

Amazing American night and Italian night. Great staff tasty food. Well done Rhodris can't wait for the next evening choice here doesn't show the full menu choice which is excellent from fish and chips to tender steaks burgers and well presented deserts and cakes.

Popped in and had lunch. Really nice setting alongside the lake, good little menu with all the favorites. Had paninis which were lovely and lovely chunky chips. Very relaxed and chilled place. Will be going back.

My husband and I wanted to have a late lunch as we finish work at 2pm on Fridays. We decided to give Rhodri's by the Lake a try. I checked the website to make sure that they were open. I could see that they closed at 4.30pm and that tables could be booked online up to 3.15pm. We arrived at 3pm and were told that no food is served after 3pm as the cook leaves at that time. The girl who spoke to us was unapologetic and extremely unhelpful. I suggested that this information needs to be made available on their website to save people a wasted journey. She eventually said that she would pass this suggestion on. Uninspiring choice of food on the menu so definitely won't be returning to Rhodri's by the Lake.

Disappointed with my first visit here especially as my wife raved about it, don't get me wrong the setting is beautiful but the food and service let it down. I had the Cod goujons which were OK but like something from Iceland, certainly nit home made, the several fries I had would be suitable for any child's meal but certainly not an adult, the salad was pathetic and the peas were dried up to within an inch of their lives. Once the 45min wait for food was over we didn't see another waiter for drinks or checked if the meal was ok or if we needed anything like tartar sauce or any other condements as there werent any on the table as you can see its not like it was overly busy. On the whole the visit was poor which was disappointing as I really had high hopes for such a beautiful setting

Visited with a group of friends so didn't feel able to complain about food quality not wanting to upset the lady who organised the lunch.Three of us ordered toasted paninis...one was just tuna and 2 tuna melt. First of all all 3 were over cooked which made them difficult to eat and also they hardly any filling.There was supposed to be chips with the meal but each portion was VERY small. At a previous visit the meal was much better with ample panini filling and chips. Today's meal was not only poor quality but also very poor value for money.Customers be warned that NO CASH payments only CARD

I really wanted to like this place. The venue set by the lake is lovely and the blazing log burner adds to the cozy atmosphere. We were served by a friendly waiter who was attentive throughout.The coffee and the food was a major let down. The pizza (around £12) was clearly low quality processed frozen pizza. The burger (around £17.95) looked awful, again cheap patties that look like those served from a road side burger van. The chicken and mushroom tagliatelle was better than the rest but average at best. The waiter was apologetic when we raised the issue with the burger and removed it from our bill.This could be a fantastic cafe/restaurant with a huge following but poor quality ingredients have desperately let the place down. I hope that this is addressed so that we can enjoy visiting again at some point in the future.
