Bike Bristol

Our 3 children non riders had a lesson with Sam and they were all pedalling by the end of it. Sam was very patient and knowledgeable, will definitely be back for another lesson for a-bit more confidence, highly recommend!

My 7 year old son was so nervous about learning to ride a bike. Despite many attempts he just wouldn't try to ride a pedal bike. After 2 minutes with Sam I could see he trusted him completely. Within 40 minutes he was riding a bike with pedals, something he'd never done before. I would recommend this one on one approach to anyone. Every child is different of course but personally I found this approach brilliant. A massive thank you to Sam.

I had a lovely hour cycling around snuff mills with Sam. He gave me a few options of where we could go and showed me lots of nice off-road routes which I now have on my maps. He went through some road safety tips and I felt safe the whole time. I'm looking forward to cycling more around Bristol and going on the social cycles too. Sam is a really lovely guy and was super easy to chat to. I'd highly recommend his cycles!

I did the accompanied ride with a bike buddy with Sam to improve my confidence and road safety, with the idea of starting commuting by bike, after not using my bike for many years. He planned the best route for me, which made use of cycle routes I didn't know. He was very understanding and patient and he gave me great advice regarding safety during the route. It was an amazing experience that has helped me greatly, especially in improving my confidence.

Pete did a superb job of thoroughly servicing a couple of bikes today. Available at short notice, came to the house (which was a big plus), had all the gear with him and worked really quickly to get it done in an hour. Clearly extremely knowledgeable and capable. Very highly recommended service!

I recently arranged for an accompanied cycling session with Bike Bristol as I was not very confident in cycling on roads, and the experience was truly exceptional. Sam, an exceedingly proficient cyclist, imparted invaluable advice and strategies to ensure a secure and pleasant riding venture. Apart from this, they offer a couple of training sessions which I believe are worth attending! I wholeheartedly recommend their services to those seeking extra support in order to fully relish a splendid cycling experience. Cheers!!

I had the pleasure of the free accompanied bike ride with Sam. His enthusiasm and passion is immediately noticeable. He gave excellent tips on road safety for a novice like myself.Once I had mentioned the destination for the ride, Sam had already researched on the best routes before our accompanied ride.The accompanied ride enabled me to ride on a route that I would have never known from any app. It followed a scenic route and kept me off main roads by riding on cycle paths.I would highly recommend this to anyone, regardless of your local knowledge. It is possible that Sam may point out a better route for you. I hope the council will continue to support and increase their funding for this scheme.

Sam was infinitely patient with my 2 daughters who have always been hesitant to get on a bike! He worked slowly at their pace and yet by the end of 2 sessions had my eldest pedalling away! Thank you so much Sam!

I booked a session with Sam as I hadn't been on a bike for 20 years following an accident and had completely lost my confidence about cycling. He put me at ease straight away and I found him to be friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He is clearly an experienced teacher and was extremely thorough in explaining road safety and what he would do in particular situations as well as offering suggestions on what I could do about my bike storage problem. I thoroughly enjoyed the hour and would highly recommend Sam to anyone who needs help getting back on their bike!
