We moved into a wing of a listed Manor House in Bristol that had just been converted into four modern flats. The kitchen of our flat had been designed and installed by Shaker and May to the requirements of the developer. We needed extra cupboards in the kitchen and a redesign of the lower end of a now redundant stairway. Furthermore there were a number of cupboards which had potential storage space but housed an immersion heater, heat exchanger and electrical boxes. We invited Julia from Shaker and May to advise us on how best to proceed. Undaunted by this challenge she transformed the kitchen with an innovative redesign, transformed the steps to nowhere" into a useful and attractive storage area by designing a built in chest and devised ample shelves deftly cut to shape to fit the shapeless pipework in the heating and electrics cupboards. Nothing was too much trouble. Her joiners implemented her designs with unmatched skill. It was a pleasure to see how they set about and completed their work. The end result was a joy. I am delighted with my new kitchen, pantry and u-room from Shaker And May. I had a layout and style in mind, but Julia helped me finesse all the details and made it absolutely perfect, from designing the inside of all the drawers and cupboards, to handles, lighting and all the appliances. The team were bang on schedule and a pleasure to have in the house whilst they were doing the install. They also followed up afterwards very diligently with any minor alterations and did everything we asked.
