Installation was excellent apart from the battery fitters forgetting one of the batteries. However that was fixed the very next day and I’m very glad we did this. Friendly people at my home but also on the phone. Just still waiting for DMO paperwork so I can start clawing back some money from the grid. It’s been longer than I was told but I’m hopeful it will get sorted soon. Installation was end of June 23.

So far not entirely happy with the installation. It was quick, done on time and when booked so no issues with that. The cabling from the inverter to my consumer unit has been placed in a very unsightly fashion, not where the surveyor said it would go (which would have been hidden). The electrician said it was the fault of an incorrect survey and he had no other choice. With more thought I believe a better solution could have been found (still waiting for a response from Home Smart to address this). I have also had issues with adding a second CT sensor to monitor the solar panel output - it works well when placed on the grid input, but when connected to the solar panel output going into my consumer unit it does not detect any current - despite the inverter saying there is generation. Not sure why that is, unless no current getting from the inverter to the consumer unit. Very hard to get hold of technical support (keep ringing out when I try the phone) and still waiting on a reply to e-mail. Installation process good, after installation support, not good.

Just had our new solar panels installed. Everything went really well and we were surprised by the speed of the process from first contact (via our local council) to final installation. All appointment times were kept and our team of three installers were friendly, helpful and very competent. A good company to deal with.

Except for the scaffolders rescheduling the work several times, the rest of the installation went like clockwork. The electrician Daniel, and the Roofers Tom and his mate (sorry, forgot his name) have to be commended for their attitude, courtesy, politeness, friendliness and work rate. Likewise, all office staff that I have dealt with have also been very friendly with a great attitude. I would recommend this company and its workforce without hesitation. Well done Home Smart Energy.

I used Solar Together scheme by Essex county council, Home Smart energy won the bid and the experience from initial contact through the survey to installation was very very good. I recently had an alarm notification and contacted Leo of Home Smart Energy technical help and was frankly amazed at how quickly and efficiently my issues was dealt with by him remotely direct to my Solis inverters data link literally a minute or two. The Solis web app on my phone is another great piece of innovation.Highly recommended.

Very poor customer serviceWhat a truly awful company. Their customer service department are really letting them down.Our problems started when we queried the cable run, after their surveyor promised that the cables from the Solar Panels and the Inverter would be run out of sight, behind the facias. He omitted to tell us that he planned to run the black cable conduit down the front of our white painted house. Having challenged this, an electrician was sent to site and a new cable route was agreed.So not too bad so far.....We contacted customer services soon after, wishing to proceed with the install using the new cable route.They said they'll get their projects team to give us a call".No call back!We then wasted a month on numerous phone calls and emails to their customer services to confirm the new cable route was okay with them. Not one promised phone call happened and no emails were replied to.It took a complaint to Solar Together for them to finally reply

The solar panel installation went well, no complain on that. However, their after installation service is terrible. We were suppose to receive our handover package in 1 month so we can apply to export the electricity. However, it has been almost 2 months now and I'm still waiting and this is costing me money every single minute the sun is out. I just chased them again but was told will need to wait another 3 weeks before they will chase the energy distributor again.Avoid them.

We had our solar install on 1st September . Was excellent job by roofers and the electrician Scott. Scott did a site visit before install to make sure cable run to fuse box was achievable without cable showing. There was a definite pride in doing a good job. Scott did handover and would have preferred more time to go through app and configuration but he had another job to go to. However this was covered by a call to technical team where Alex went through the system in more detail and I was left feeling I could call anytime if I had a question.

We are very pleased with the end result, from the start with the scaffold crew, electricians and the man that fitted the solar panels, all were very polite and tidy. Only problem was the removal of the scaffold took longer then expected but they were very polite and kept us informed. Would recommend this company and the solar panels look very smart.
