Absolutely delicious food served remarkably quickly too. All the staff are so friendly too. Definitely recommend this as number 1 choice out of the multitude of eateries around here. The sticky toffee pudding... Unbelievable. The beef fell apart. Insanely good. The fish and chips - unreal. All in all - just go!

Food is so good! There is a little outdoor space for drinks and food if you’d like. Prob best restaurant in a couple towns around here.We had dinner here. Got the soup of the day (spicy sweet potato) which was so nice and the highland terrine. Generous portions. For entree we had the sirloin steak and the lamb. Both were cooked to desired levels excellently.Tip to come early before kitchen closes (roughly 8pm) and make a reservation.

Such a small town and such a great restaurant! Excellent menu put together by a Michelin star chef. Prices are reasonable. Reservations recommended. Also, check out the bar. It's a great place to have a cold beer with the locals.

Visited on Sunday lunchtime. Same menu on offer as the reviews I read beforehand.Food was tasty but way overpriced (as was the small glasses of wine we had) for what it was. Service was quick though. Please do not order a basket of bread as you get 2 slices of cheap white sliced with a knob of butter. The 3 side orders actually were small and so poor value. Served in little baskets to make them look like a proper portion. Not good enough! We were disappointed overal and still hungry but didn't order an £8 desert each as we thought it would be poor value.

The starters were good: the Haggis Bonbons were amazing and the sweet potato soup was very good. The mushroom soup however was too strong/bitter to our taste. The service was lacking: we ordered the sea bass as main and after 40 minutes of waiting the waitress came back and told us they are out of sea bass.

Nice local pub and restaurant with lovely quick efficient young staff. I do I’d not book and it was clear that perhaps I should have. I was sat at a little table in the bar. I chose a special of scallops and as I had plenty of room for more plumped for sticky toffee pudding.

Excellent food and totally fairly priced for the quality. I had the scallops and sea bass. Delicious! We had a total of five dishes and two glasses of wine. We paid £90

I had noticed this place was really busy on a previous trip to the west coast so we decided to go have a look and boy did we get a surprise, we didn't know what to expect food wise and tbh the standard was surprisingly high and explains why it was so busy. I had haggis bonbons with Drambuie sauce followed by pork belly with black pudding and scallops and my fiancé had double cooked smoked haddock souffle followed by salmon and sea bass en croute. All the food was top class and considering the quality very good value for money. We will definitely eat there any time we are in the area.

We arrived just before 13.00,and once we actually got in (the door was locked and it took twenty minutes before I found someone to unlock it despite me phoning, banging on doors and windows and going to the kitchen door) the place was okay. The decor is a bit tired looking, but the food was very nice.
