I popped in twice during my recent visit to the Lakes. I had a quick browse on the first occasion, and I was offered assistance by an attentive staff member.On my second visit, I nipped upstairs to browse the footwear section with a replacement for my walking shoes in mind, which I’d decided had finally had their time.The lad who came to assist me asked all the right questions regarding my needs, arch issues, how I typically like my shoes etc. He recommended a wide selection and I left with a pair of North Face shoes. As I left he said to check out the cycle shop, and I left with a Madison long sleeved jersey that was on sale.An all round great experience, I’ll be returning next year!On a side note, I see all these low scores for the no-dogs policy. Please remember that not everyone is a dog person, some of us (like me) are also severely allergic to dogs. I shouldn’t have to worry about coming out in hives, having bleary eyes and developing breathing problems because outdoor shops are the only clothing stores making exceptions for non-assistance animals. I have to be careful about merely touching items, never mind trying them on or buying them. Before anyone mentions them, antihistamines just don’t cut it either as a preventative measure or remedy!There was probably a reason for it, whether it was generally hygiene related or incidents involving dogs going to the toilet, barking, fighting, chewing stuff or bundling around. Even one incident is one too many, I can see why the store management have taken this stand. Good on them for sticking their neck out to make an unpopular but logical decision. I suspect some other shops would like to do the same, but fear the backlash.

Lovely customer service. Purchased 3 things and accidentally left an item of clothing in store, they posted it back the same day, very caring!

I tried to find out about founders John & Cheryl, John and I working for the same company a lot of years ago, and then watched his empire grow. I simply want to know how they are, to catch up if possible. But no response from their son and business ceo up to now.

The on-line prices are tempting but that's only any good if you receive your order.I was informed my order was sent, but it is now more than a week overdue and I have had no response from the 'customer service department' to my requests for replacements or a refund. It therefore looks as though I will have to raise a payment dispute with my credit card provider.I have purchased from Gaynor Sports on a previous occasion but never again.

A large outdoor store with a good selection of boots, bags, and clothes. Prices are on par with what you'll find in similar stores elsewhere. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Terrible experience - website states that they ship to Europe, you can choose address and everything, can pay and then they cancel your order by telling they don't ship to EU since Brexit. That was years ago, I can't believe such company can't fix their webiste for years by blocking sales to EU and changing information on the website. On my request to change the delivery address to UK address they told that I have to make a new order but it was not possible due to item sbeing out of stock when I wanted to place new order as turns out they actually never had items in stock on top of the fact they don't ship to Europe. Customer service is not helping and does not care at all about their customers.

Recently I bought The North Face jacket. Paid £175.98 but the Jacket I received is 100% fake . I approached these people with proof and send them pictures as puffer coming out from all over the jacket which is not normal at all. It's embarrassing wearing The North Face jacket and puffer's comes out of it from sleeves , under arm, back , shoulder, and front. All i want to mention here that this store selling fake items while receiving payment for original. I will warn everyone not to buy from this store

A friendly and well stocked shop. Always worth setting aside some time for a visit, as there are many rails of sale items to sift through, which isn't a quick endeavour. Be aware also, parking isn't available at the store, so you'll be parked nearby, possibly incurring a charge, so factor that into your visit.

Jack was amazing today! Me and my mum came in looking for coats and he went above and beyond to help us both. I actually ended up leaving with two coats. Great customer service.

Very good after sales service I had to return the garment due to the wrong size and they refunded the money straight away. I had ordered it through Amazon so re-ordered the correct size which was delivered quickly. The staff were very helpful and friendly on the phone which was very much appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend them!Andy
