Vault Beach Car Park

The road to reach this carpark is not for the faint of hearts, its a tight squeeze with prayers that no cars are coming the other way. The car park itself is nothing special. However the beach is calm with a large expansion of sand, the far end is rumored to be a nudist beach so be warned, clean with a mix of sand and pebbles, great for dogs which are allowed. You can expect a walk down of about 5-10mins with a walk back up afterwards so don't get too tired.Overall a nice beach with a potentially stressful drive up to the carpark.

Small National Trust car park with access down track and path to Vault Beach and South West Coast Path. No toilets or any other facilities.

It's a bit of a drive from anywhere but this beach is huge. Wide and very long and never seems to get busy at all. It is quite a walk down to the beach but it's so worth it. Never much of a swell and is a heat trap. Take everything you need with you as you will not want to walk back up to get things you left behind. Plenty of food, water and some form of shade is a must if you intend on staying a while. The far side( past the flag drawing) is a nudist beach so be prepared for full nudity if you venture that far. Its a beautiful place, even to sit and watch the sun go down. My favourite place to be.

National Trust Car Park with an honesty box. Ideal for accessing Vault Beach or walking down to Gorran Haven.

Car park is only accessible to vehicles up to a panel van size, but great views and access to the beach. Can never understand why NT doesnt charge campervan s a tenner to stay over night, all other European countries do this, the site is perfect!

Good sized car park and well placed. It is a field with gravel so will be muddy in places after rain. I could not see any parking charges box or whatever at the car entrance nor pedestrian exit so at the moment ( July 2023) it is free. 2 large areas and a smaller more secluded area at the bottom, nice if you want to sit outside for your lunch or cuppa.

National trust honesty box for parking ,fair sized car park . Steepish walk to beach . Down through to gate turn left for access to beach .Very tranquil shingle and sand beach .Access to coastal footpath . Fairy quiet the walk probably puts people off . No facilities.
