This is a Foresty and land Scotland FREE Stay the night site 2022. There are no facilities, please do not dump chemical waste in the forest. It states on the signage 6 vans can park here, it would be interesting if 6 large vans tried to park. There is an RSPB site approx 7km South West and a good but short lived walk to Stac Gorm. Plus a large boulder for the climbers. There is no overnighr camping in the RSPB site.

There are two trails to follow here I decided to do both in one go and it took me 1hr 45 mins. The paths were quite steep and muddy in places so these walks will not suit everyone. There are a couple of nice lochans and there you do get a beautiful view on a couple of occasions. I was delighted to see some butterflies and to hear the different birdsong. Parking is free but it is limited. All in all it was an excellent outing and I hardly met anyone.

Great place for dog walks.Plenty of wildlife (if you're lucky)Fun walk for kids, although not good for buggies, and some quite steep bits. But very enjoyable.

Lovely little walks in a heavily glaciated area; kettleholes, eskers and so on.First walk was VERY frozen. Second, lovely and clear with lovely views across Strathnairn.

Great place for overnight Campervans, but ticks abound. Lovely short walks for those not afraid of a small steep hill or two.

Wanted to visit here so added it as a part of a 17 mile loop, lovely walk once I had climbed the track up,quite steep, but well worth it,2 tracks red and blue, opted for the longest(red) took me along a ridge trail beautiful scenery, nice Loch great views, onto an area that had been cleared of trees, along a ridge overlooking a quarry and back to the starting point.Stopped off at the waterside for a bite to eat before making my way back.plenty of parking

A beautiful site that deserves to be visited. Between Aviemore and Inverness.

Two nice little walks through forestry land, one mile and one and a half miles. Camper vans can stay overnight per forestry commission rules (check their site). Level car park but small room for four or five vans only.

An interesting little set of walks with a few glacial features in a small setting.
