Castle Hill Car Park
Good car park, easy to find and access. Good prices at just under £5 for 4 hours and I think free after 7pm. You can pay on card, by app, or with coins. The spaces are a little tight but easy enough. On a Monday in September we didn’t have any issues getting a space and there was still plenty later on in the day. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to all the attractions.

Hidden gem! I've been in and around Cambridge for a couple of decades and never knew about this car park. Very reasonable rate considering how close to the city center you are! Will definitely be heading here again especially as Park Street is currently closed to be worked on.

Beware that the ticket box may be set to wrong time, so when it prints a parking ticket, it can be already expired. E.g. when I printed the ticket at 14:30, the ticket box was showing 10:30, and so was the ticket issue time. And, since we paid for 4h, the ticket immediately looked expired. We called the support line, and also put a note near the ticket under the windscreen to bring attention to the time issue, and, luckily, didn't get a fine. However, right when we arrived, we saw the controller person actively putting penalty notices on many cars with paper tickets.Conclusion: always check the ticket box's time or pay for parking online.

Now that the Park Street car park has closed we tried this car park which is likely the closest in terms of location.The pricing is cheap compared to the others in Cambridge which generally ask for around £2.50 an hour, it's £1.30ph here!There's also the Castle Hill mound which is worth the trek up at least once and provides great panoramics of Cambridge.

Ok but doesn't look the safest.Tickets machine out of order had to install app on the mobile for an one time tourist it is not ideal.

Reasonable Monday-Saturday, very cheap on a Sunday. Perhaps a 10 minute stoll to the action.

Castle Hill Car Park
All day Cambridge car parking within walking distance of the centre. You need to be reasonable fit to walk into the city from here with a bit of a hill but if you want to avoid public transport and want to stay all day this is a good option. Price wise you are looking at just over £8 for all day parking which is also reasonable for Cambridge. We parked here and spend to whole day walking the streets of Cambridge, visiting cafes, shops and museums. Its pay and display with a card option which is a little slow but works fine. Alternatively you can use the JustPark app which also looks straightforward.

It's a pleasant place and convenient. I could park which is something.Couple of whinges, first it takes ages to pay. Got to have a lot of luck with the machine or download an App which takes phone real estate. Second whinge was all the guano you get on your car when parking in this lovely arboreal setting. Evidently the local crow population regarded my nitrates as being on the low side.

Close to the centre of Cambridge. Much easier to get to and more efficient that park & ride. £9 for a whole day isn't too bad either. Quite small, so getting in eary is important
