I visited the Wakefield American Golf shop a few days ago to try out some TaylorMade M4 irons. Luke, one of the Sales Advisors, let me try them out in the golf simulator and after a dodgy start (new club nerves!) my ball striking improved. Luke then suggested that I also try the Cobra LTDx irons and after hitting quite a few shots we examined the shot data for both clubs. It was apparent that the Cobras were the best clubs for me and I was happy to purchase a set.Many thanks to Luke for his golf advice and great customer service, without which I would most probably have bought the wrong set of irons for my golf game.Definitely a 5 star review for American Golf Wakefield, highly recommended.

Today, I visited American Golf in search of new shoes, a glove, and a hat. Despite Elliot's busy schedule with another customer who was trying out a new club, he skillfully managed to provide excellent customer service to both me and the gentleman trying the club. Elliot's exceptional service even extended to finding a different shoe size for me when my initial size was unavailable. Although it was one size smaller than my usual choice, it turned out to be a perfect fit. I highly recommend this store solely for the outstanding customer experience.

Well placed shop with helpful staff and good knowledge of products

The Artisan Boutique Hotel was a masterpiece in itself. The hotel was adorned with exquisite artwork and sculptures, creating an immersive artistic experience. Our room was elegantly designed, and the attention to detail was impressive. The staff was knowledgeable about the local art scene and provided great recommendations for galleries. A stay here is a must for any art enthusiast.

Start to finish what a great experience. Went in after 1 golf lesson and received great advice from a very knowledgeable bunch of guys. Got booked in for a fitting, they was really thorough running through all the options with myself being a complete beginner. Left fully set up to give myself the best golfing start possible. I reckon they have had enough of seeing me over the last 3 weeks. Really pleased with the clubs so far and how quickly the fitted clubs came. Thanks very much for all your help.

Absolutely class! Very new to golf which meant I didn't expect a full fitting, full attention. A young guy Alex went above and beyond and gave me some brilliant pointers.Surprised they didn't sell me a driver but his best advice was to practice with my current and return when the confidence is there.I can see me being a regular at the shop. Nice place.Thanks.

Called her to buy a birthday gift for my son.Felt a little out of my depth as know nothing about golf.I had to ask staff to help as no one offered and I’m sure I looked totally out of place there.That said got the gift and I’m sure he’ll be happy with it.The shop seems well stocked, a couple of sales on. Easy to find straight off the motorway.
