Leaders Letting & Estate Agents Cirencester

Horrible company, useless people. We’ve been tenants at one of the properties managed by leaders for 4/5 years now. Within the 1st 4 days of us moving in we reported that we spotted some mould. We were told to buy our own mould cleaner and simply wipe it whenever it came up. This carried on but the mould got worse over a couple years so we reported this, was told that a damp report would be done. This was completed and deemed all good (despite finding a report stating the ventilation wasn’t built for use), we were informed that this had to be our fault and to open windows and circulate air flow. In August 2022 we signed a new 12 month tenancy agreement , however a couple days pass the renewal date we got an email stating leaders had voided our contract, I called to query what was going on only to be told they didn’t know and I’d get a response in a couple of weeks, 3 weeks later we got a call stating that they voided the contract because they never received this, then we were told it was received but not signed, then they magically found it but claimed it wasn’t dated (despite being electronic) they then wanted to increase the rent by £100 and move us onto periodic a tenancy. We’ve argued this multiple times but this keeps being ignored, they’ve soured a once great relationship with our landlord despite us never raising issues or having problems previously. After 5 years they then finally fixed the ventilation unit, then served us our notice.Use any other letting agents in Cirencester, this company will only screw you out of a legal contract for terms better suited to them. They don’t care about tenants and don’t want to do any maintenance on the properties they let.

This is a review purely about the service team who you report problems with the property to. Karen - the property manager has been amazing and has kept me sane while sorting out the long list of problems that were already present in the house we currently rent. She listens, understands and deals with all our queries quickly and efficiently, I cannot recommend her highly enough. Karen gives us a truly amazing service and I know that I can trust her to sort anything.

Thanks to Leaders for making our renting process easy and clear. We moved to Cirencester from India recently and Leaders helped us find a home within days. Mark has arranged us all the viewings we requested for and answered all our questions very patiently. It was a pleasant experience!

Mark at Leaders was brilliant helping me with renting a new flat - everything from initial viewing to sorting out the contract with the landlord. There were a few challenges along the way and Mark was always there to help asap and made the whole process much easier for me. Definitely recommend! :)

We rented a house through Leaders and it was the worst experience. My then landlord used Leaders to find a tenant only. My dealings with Leaders was disappointing. Leaders were not helpful at all and seem to favour the landlord.Sophie and the team were un professional. I would never recommend Leaders. I have since found a great agency and a fabulous landlady.Tenant beware if using Leaders.
