Absolutely fantastic!Amazing place, very well maintained with lovely garden full of plants and flowers. Surrounding with wildlife and trees. So relaxing and pleasent place for break while having walks and discovering around.Must visit.Recommendations.

It’s a nice walk down to the lock. Probably could get a wheel chair down , in the summer it’s a good place to watch the river traffic. There are bathrooms and a nice coffee and scones shop

Really nice lock. Peaceful scenic and a good walk around Sonning. Really nice place to sit and think or go for a leisurely walk. Would recommend at any time of the year so long as the water level is not to high.

Nice walk down to Sonning lock with our children today. Lovely area to watch the boats, particularly for children. Unfortunately the little cafe in the lock wasnt open, and looks like it may have closed down now, however there are a couple of pubs not too far away.

Sonning Lock
Lovely stretch of river Thames. Sonning bridge and the village is picturesque. One tiny shop that does refreshments. Sit at Sonning Lock to watch the boats and stroll along the towpath.
