The Lowfield Inn

A spacious, tastefully decorated pub with friendly staff and a varied menu of delicious meals. I had the 'huevos rancheros' and it was superb! Nice views of the surrounding countryside too.

Went for a fantastic meal. I decided to have the hot curry. When I received it WOW it was definitely hot. I certainly enjoyed it so much the last time I had a hot curry was in Birmingham in 1982. I just hope they do keep this curry on the menu

We didn't stay over night, so can't comment on the accommodation. We went for a meal. As the only pub in the area, it's obviously quite pricy but not over the top. We chose the steak and ale pie which was the pie of the day. They were clearly homemade and were extremely tasty but the bouquet garni hadn't been tied and both pies had numerous long, thin tough stalks. The waiter did ask if he could do anything to improve our visit but I declined. Between us there must have been 15 pieces of these stalks, one about 6 inches long and it was quite off putting. On paying, I expressed my disappointment and they said they would pass my comments on to the chef. The photo provided was stalks from my pie, not the stalks from 2 pies.

Friends were staying here and we met for a meal. Nice place, accommodation apparently all fine, friendly staff, meal and surroundings all very nice

Looked like a great place to stay... Rooms were nice. Pub, great beer and great food.Let down by a couple of things. 2 large tables in front of the main bar area restrict access to get a drink. I was stuck behind a group of 6. If there weren't tables there the second bar maid could have served me.Room was nice but needed some attention to detail. Great bunch of hair balled up in the bath plughole. Switch just inside door faulty (a bit worrying as it pushed into the surround) and the shelf in the bathroom needed securing to the wall again.Otherwise I really enjoyed it.Dinner was great and a very interesting menu.Lots of car parking. Looks like a great garden for the summer!

I love this place. The decor is tasteful, with lots of seating. The menu is wide, with specials and Sunday roasts. There is a lunchtime special of two or three courses.The food here is always excellent. There are some local ales to choose from as well as the usual lagers etc.Highly recommended.

Excellent as always. Great service, great food, great restaurant. Never had a bad meal. Highly recommended. Staff very polite and attentive. Will always be one of our favourites as long as it stats the way it is

Basic rooms, of which the one offered had noisy cooling fans and extractor fan directly outside. Lucky they were able to offer an alternative, but only with a roof light/ventilation. Restaurant and bar service is excellent and the kitchen produce good meals with local produce. Breakfast was good again with local produce, nice sausages and the best black pudding I've had in a long time. Bar had a good atmosphere and choice of beers.
