Budget Car Hire - London Battersea

Picked up a rental on the Saturday of a bank holiday weekend. Customer service decent. The car smelled like a skunk and the tire pressure light was on when we first turned the car on. After we brought it to attention of customer service rep, he visually checked the car and then manually reset the light. We left London and let the car sit in Cambridge for 2 days. Upon getting back into car to drive to the Cotswolds, the tire light came back on and the oil light went on. Couldn’t take it back to a Budget location because there were no locations nearby. It was a bummer to be worried about the state of the car, but we we filled the tires and oil on our own because we didn’t want to have a breakdown. In the end, we were reimbursed in some form: before returning the car to LHR, we forgot to fill the gas tank and after describing the issues to the lot attendant, he let the gas go in exchange for our problems with the car. So for the most part, it was a positive experience. We had another option (EuropCar), but I’m very glad we chose Budget.

Do not use this company. The worst service I've ever received. I arrived to pick up a van and was told extremely casually that the van wouldn't be available for another 4-6 hours. There was no sense of urgency and no apology until I kicked up quite a fuss. While I was waiting for the van I saw a number of other customers arrive to pick up vehicles only to be told they weren't yet available. I signed a contract for a refund for the nightmare that ensued and have yet to receive it.

I was looking for a car to rent on short notice and saw the high prices on enterprise and hertz etc. I chose to take a risk with Budget and it was the best decision I made. The picking up of the car was straight forward, the return was smooth and I got my deposit back within 2 days. I saw the reviews before I chose Budget and was a bit worried but it turned out to be great for me. Maybe it’s my own personal experience but I can’t recommend them enough!

Well we rented a car from them... we drove it around the block then the tire light came on. It had a flat.. whatever things happen so then we get a different car they said. We get the other car it's not filled up with gas they said just bring it back with half tank... okay.. we brought it back with 3 quarters. They charged us anyways. Tried to call and talk to someone about the charges impossible. Do not rent from them.

We booked a car with 5 seats and 4 pieces of luggage They wanted to give us a car with space for 2 pieces. After a long tiresome discussion they provided a car with space for 3 pieces. The car was not ready when we came. Another customer came in and did not get his internet booked car at all. He had to leave with just a refund. Another customer had also trouble to get what was booked. It looks like that Buget-Avis UK is not reliable.

Helpful staff who processed my rental where I returned the rental after picking up from Liverpool. You might not find a train line directly to where you might be staying close to Buckingham Palace but their are metro lines nearby.If returning your car after hours there is a key drop off bin at the front door and you park around in the side street.If trying to contact these people on the telephone I found it very difficult as their telephone “on-hold” can be for hours when trying to investigate a question about tolls.

I recommend Car Budget London Battersea to anyone who is in London for a business trip or family vacation. It was very easy to communicate with the customer service on the phone. They were polite and had the car I asked for was in perfect condition waiting for me in the airport. Good job!

Booked a van for a Friday, turned up to collect it and they said it was out with another customer and probably wouldn't have it for several hours. They refunded my payment, but it meant my moving house was ruined and I had to go hire a van from Sixt down the road which was more expensive - albeit better customer service. Pay peanuts...get monkeys. Don't use Budget.

Have rented from the battersea location a few times, this occasion very quick and efficient service, only downside is wait times can be a little long if there are more than 3 people are waiting.Car I booked was very clean and staff were very helpful, cheerful and polite.
