Seems like my experience is the same as many others. My solicitors has sent this company many emails confirming everything has been sorted and closed yet I’m still getting calls. I put in a complaint and had no correspondence or acknowledgment from Phillips Cohen yet I still receive calls. Phillips Cohen requested money which I paid and then found out from my solicitor it was incorrect and had already been paid so they’ve refunded me and now call months later and ask for more money. Even calling on the near anniversary of my late loved ones death. Awful company with no respect or compassion and apparently no organisational processes to ensure their data is accurate.

No idea why SSE outsource their deceased customer’s accounts out to this company. I’ve contacted several other companies whilst winding up my late mother’s affairs and they have all been excellent and empathetic. Trying to obtain final gas and electricity bills following a house sale to allow me to settle all affairs and pay beneficiaries, is proving impossible from these guys. Staff promise a swift service over the phone but then you don’t hear anything. So frustrating when all you want is closure to allow you to complete the grieving process.

Paid EON Next directly month's ago as I'm named Executor, but these guys still sending me the bill. Sent the statements proving paid, but not holding my breath for a reply. Please add the usual copy and paste response to confirm you're more concerned with how you look online rather than putting the resources into doing your jobs

I've just looked parasites up. My mother died in June owing £88 to Littlewoods catalogue. Harassing me a few times a week. Hang your head in shame Littewoods.

I had received letters from this company about a debt owed to Eon for electricity. I phoned them and explained that all the monies owed from the estate of my late mother had been paid in full. The lady said she would look into it and get back to me. Weeks went by then I decided to phone again and this time I spoke to another lady who I explained the whole situation and this time I had email proof that my late mothers account had been closed with a zero balance. I also pointed out that the Eon account number they were chasing the money for was not my late mothers and I provided them with her old account number. The lady said she would get back to me with confirmation of what I had told her. So here we are another 8 weeks later and I phoned again as I had heard nothing? The gentleman asked if I had been told the account was now closed and the matter has been resolved. I explained that if I had of heard this then I would not have found the need to phone again.Whoever deals with these claims from utility providers needs to check all the details first before sending letters out asking for payment for monies that are clearly not owed. Is this a scam between Eon and yourselves? You can’t just take the word of incompetent companies that people owe them money without first checking the facts. I would love to have had a day in court or had people come to recoup the money. The embarrassment that you would have faced would have been priceless. If you say you are going to get back to the recipient of the letter then do so as it saves you from looking like a third rate firm.So look at how you are being perceived by those reading these bad reviews and maybe choose your clients very carefully.

My mother died 4 months ago...she had a Shell energy outstanding bill of £2,000+...She managed to get it down to £600~ and this lot is chasing it for Shell...Absolutely disgusting and morally wrong, Have some morals! Absolute disgrace! Let's not forget shell made £7.7 billion ($9.65bn) for the first quarter of 2023. They should be put in prison. I'll be calling you later this week!

Appalling service. Despite advising them that the account they are chasing is with the Financial Ombudsman they have continued to chase with numerous emails and letters weekly. Despite the original disputed amount with my insurer of just £23 they have added fees to make the amount £89 now. They haven’t been able to confirm what the additional fees are or provide any documentation to justify the fee despite a data protection request that they still have failed to provide fully.

If anyone is contacted by this company about a deceased gas or electric bills, ignore them. Deal directy with your enegy company not this company. You do not have to talk to them or provide them with any information as they are a third party debt collection agency. Tell then not to make contact with you again and request they remove your's and the deceased's information from their systems, as you have no contract or services provided from them. If by any chance they demand money for bills to do with your energy provider tell them to cease and desist, then inform the Police they are demanding money with menaces as you have no contract or services provided by them.

My mother passed away and had a £500 dual fuel bill outstanding with Shell. They seemed pleasant enough when I spoke to them but when I went to pay the final bill by bank transfer a warning came up on my banking app saying their details could not be confirmed and it could be a scam so I opted to contact Shell direct and pay them. I didn’t feel comfortable paying them the money, especially after reading these reviews.
