The Lady Well

Don't be misled by Google Maps and end up at the Lady Well pub, which happened to me. This capped well is down a side street next to Glasgow Necropolis, and there's a sign. Once a public well, and sacred to the Virgin Mary, it was restored by Tennant's Brewery, which is across the street, and has a handsome iron cap, to which someone has attached a rosary. Hail Mary! May the pure waters of your grace flow to all who thirst.No admission charge, cafe, toilets or gift shop.
