Thetford Garden Centre

Pretty good garden centre,with a fantastic tearoom,that was my initial thought, the centre had everything a budding gardener might need but the tearoom got the plaudits because it was outstanding.

Lovely garden centre. We really enjoy coming here. The restaurant/food is outstanding, the staff are warm and friendly. There is a waffle/drink van and a pizza van out the back, highly recommend the waffles (haven't tried the pizza yet). Great centre with pretty much everything you need to kit your garden out, slabs, gravel, lots of plants, pond plants, fish. Every plant we have bought has thrived :). There's also a big gift area with lovely bits and pieces in. Great little trip out for everyone :)

RevisedWe arrived at 10.30 on a sunday and thought we would have our coffee and cake before shopping and im glad we did, as by 11am there was a long que . Vegan scone £4 with jam. The garden centre is a good size. Lots of great deals. Kids activties such as connect four, jenga and throwing game. Sadly, the outside restaurants aren't open. Really fancied a coffee but restaurant inside was min of 40mins wait.

Nice afternoon tea, too much to eat however. Quality of produce was OK, exceptional no, but nevertheless perfectly fine. Maybe only criticism is the cost, for that money you can have an afternoon tea in a fancy hotel or somewhere a little more exotic than a garden center, but that's about all u would say. Service was attentive.

Thought we would visit the garden centre for afternoon tea. Had half hour wait as it was busy so had a browse. When we sat at our table, ordered the afternoon tea and waited another 45 minutes till we were served with it. Waitress left without giving any plates or cutlery. Asked her for plates and cutlery but she only brought the plates. I then went over to her to ask her for the cutlery as we had no way of slicing the scones and using the jam! and she said just help yourself and no apology. Then we found we had no spoons for the tall dessert. She brought over sundae spoons which were too big. By now we'd given up hope of any sort of decent service so used the teaspoons that came with our cup of tea. Not ideal at all.We have eaten at this garden centre many times over the years but this was really bad. The cost of the afternoon tea was way overpriced and to be honest wasn't brilliant, compared to others we have had elsewhere . Would not recommend. So disappointed and will think twice before returning.

I buy all my terracotta pots from you for hand painting on and I love that they are now all undercover keeping them clean and dry. Also there is a lovely selection of gifts to choose from not to mention a great restaurant. I love shopping here!

A great garden centre with a wonderful cafe. The cafe has a very large seating area, half of which is dog friendly. We have visited before for lunch and breakfast; both times the food was great and the service was friendly.This has become a regular stop when we head north into Norfolk and I can recommend it.
