Costspex Opticians

Fantastic! Friendly staff, parking outside shop ( not a problem for me but had trouble in past trying to get elderly relatives near an opticians). Large choice of frames, spoilt for choice. So reasonable too! And collection within 2 days. I had my eyes tested at vision express and ordered glasses from them but no guarantee they will be available for my holidays in 10 days ! Plus 1/3 the price. I know where I will be getting my glasses in future.

Called at Durham branch today to enquire about repairing glasses l bought 4 years ago at their place. They were varifocal lenses, one arm loose and one lense loose due to them been damaged a couple of years ago. Was told that they were unrepairable. They tried to source a new set of frames to accommodate the lens online and searching old stock but they were not available. The gentleman who was helping then managed to source a new pair of frames from new stock that fit the lenses. All for 40 pounds new frames with lens. Service by all the staff was top notch, especially the gentleman. Used a well known high street company previously who were twice the price and no where near as committed to provide such help. Many thanks to all the staff.

I've been to Costspex a few times now and the service is always really good. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and they arranged my glasses with the minimum of fuss. Highly recommended.

I’ve been a customer of Costspex for several years and have always been extremely delighted with their service, their prices and their staff.I have just visited them afte breaking my glasses last night and they have replaced my frames within 5 minutes of me arriving.Yet again superb service.

First class customer service!...Called in to get frames adjusted, even though I hadn't purchased glasses from them, they were happy to help...I would definitely recommend...

Having used both high street opticians and a few supermarket opticians over the last few years I was never really happy with the quality or service.Costspex are a bit different offering good advice, a very good selection of frames and this time I actually got the good varifocals I paid for and not some inferior lenses that I couldn't get used to.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this family business for both service and price, something you don't get very often these days.

Excellent optician, lovely staff and after care has been 2nd to none. I have had 2 pairs of glasses where the frame has broken through no fault of me or costspex and both have been changed immediately. Couldn't ask for better.

I have been using costspex opticians for a few years. Recently persuaded my husband to change from his usual high street opticians. He was very impressed with the excellent personal service and very helpful and caring staff who make you feel welcome. Would highly recommend costspex.

This is the first time I’ve used costspex as I’ve always used high street shops, however I highly recommend this store the staff are very welcoming & friendly & the service is absolutely spot on I had my eye test on a Friday morning & got my glasses the next day very pleased indeed.

Good service but the buy one get one free costs is a tad high. Would be nice if they just did the reduced price on one pair.. they'd get more trade. Very friendly staff. Range of specs are low to medium quality.
