Sandhaven Holiday Park

Lovely site with very clean facilities and friendly staff, everything within walking distance, three parks all the way along the front making for a lovely walk, beach opposite the site which is absolutely lovely, plenty of places to eat and drink too, we'll definitely return

Although there are static caravans, we stayed in our own campervan with electric hook up and awening. No tent camping allowed. Dog friendly. Very secure. The bathrooms are clean with access code on entry. All ablutions, cleaning areas and washing/ drying machines available. No shop on site. A Tesco Express is 5 min walk up the road. Service is friendly and efficient. Next to some beautiful parks with boat rides, kiddies train and playground. But very quiet on site. The beach is across the road, you can hear the waves. There's a funfair with restaurants and bars. The beach to the left is for dogs May-Sept, when not allowed on the other beaches. Ten min walk to train station with easy access to Newcastle. There are lots of nice shops nearby. Perfect family holiday!!

We stayed from Monday to Friday night left on Saturday morning, great time for our 8th wedding anniversary, we got burnt 3 days was great weather, people on desk couldn't do enough for us, thanks

Excellent. Campervan overnight stay. Nice site, close to the sea front and entertainment.

Used our own trailer tent so room rating not applicable.Lovely, exceptionally clean site with great, cheap laundry facilities. Right opposite the main sandhaven beach and next to bents park, with a swimming pool and ocean pleasure park (fairground) no more than five mins walk, fantastic location. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay, lovely and peaceful onsite and helpful owners. Will definitely come again! One thing I would say is that it is slightly more pricey than other sites but you do get what you pay for here and I can’t find one fault with it!

Absolutely fabulous caravan park. The caravans are furnished lovely and was very clean. Great location by the seaside and not far from the town centre. Definitely recommend over any of those chain caravan parks.

Great experience, amusement right next door , very clean toilets .

One of my favourite touring caravan sites, wardens very friendly, toilet & showers very clean. Once hitched up walks, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets all within walking distance. Soth Shields is very dog friendly.

If you are touring and visiting South Shields, this is a convenient stop. Nice solid pads with an area to the side for awning or a tow car.Simple facilities with a toilet block and two decent showers for the 10 touring pitches. Elsan point, refuse and why all included. Very centrally located on the seafront.

Just had 3 nights at this lovely site. The pitches were large and level. The site was peaceful backing onto a park, which was perfect for dog walks. Showers were clean and hot. The beach is just out of the site and a short walk.Its a fantastic area to explore with loads to see.
