Took my grandchildren on a Monday. Enjoyed a very delicious home cooked cottage pie. We went early evening and the pub has a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent food, service and very reasonably priced. We will be going back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

I love this pub, moved to the area recently and it has a great atmosphere as well as great priced pints! It also has a dartboard and quizzes every now and then. It's a shame I've stopped drinking so I can't go here as much anymore. 5 stars!

Had a great night, open Mic night, great crowd and owners. Stayed over in camper. Beer very good but no food at the moment, will be back soon. Many thanks

A warm welcome from Gail & her team followed by plentiful & very tasty Sunday lunch which arrived promptly. Too full to sample dessert unfortunately, maybe next time x

Great time! Recommended by B&B. Pete, the new owner, was behind the bar when I arrived. He made me welcome, went over the menu, and made some recommendations. He knew all that came in that first night, knew what they their drink preference was, and kept everyone happy.Ordered a traditional fish and chips. Very good. Decided to come back the next night.The second night the place was packed- I think the busiest since Pete took the reigns. Even having to move at a lightning pace to keep everything going, Kevin saw that I was seated and knew what I wanted to drink without asking. An excellent trait for a publican".I went back for my final two nights

Excellent food now also serving incredible tapas. Ales are well kept and it’s dog friendly lovely local pub.

We stopped here for camping. It's just a field with a prota loo, the pub toilets are open 24/7

Me and the wife drove pasted , on a Saturday evening, just popped in to see if we could be book to eat, made to feel welcome and lovely food, will leave the vespa at home next time , as the ale seems well kept

Great staff and home-cooked food.Enjoyed a lovely outdoor lunch with my son today in the beer garden.The food is very good home-cooked grub. I realised how rare it is to have chips which actually were potatoes that were cut ON the premises. Excellent chips, mushrooms and mixed grill.The waitress Maddie was charming and helpful. We were the only customers in the garden yet she came out regularly to check all was well and if we needed anything.Tip for owner. The regular picnic benches have either sunk into the ground or they need leg extensions. The seats were very low.Would gladly come back here when visiting the area again.
