Turned up to see if we could get a table prior to attending a funeral 100 yards away. We waited for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement from other staff only to be told very abruptly and rudely that as we hadn't booked they could not fit us in. I understand it the Christmas season.. but manners and politeness cost nothing.

Visited on Saturday evening for a family meal. Nice modern place seemed to be fairly clean but several tables had been vacated but not cleaned and a few near the bar appeared to have ripped seat covers. We were shown to our table, the kids were amused by how sticky it was.Drinks order was taken pretty quickly, many of the beers on the menu were not actually stocked, the server said he had suggested to the manager that they get them in without success. Drinks took around 25 minutes to arrive at which point the food order was taken where we were told that Tomato Soup was on pre order only, although seemingly nothing else was.Starters took an age to arrive and were OK but not particularly hot, eventually the table was cleared and the long wait for our main courses started.When the mains eventually arrived they were not very big, at best warm and on some parts of the described dish were missing for which the server knocked a small amount off the bill.Desserts were offered and were actually reasonably hot and served quite quickly, as the place was pretty well empty by this Point.We left after 3 hours of disappointment and waiting. All our food server could do was apologise as he normally serves drinks only and couldn’t understand why he was doing food.We certainly won’t be going back…

Arrived at an eerily empty restaurant this Sunday for breakfast, only to be informed they weren't taking walk-ins. Surprisingly unfazed, given the exterior's derelict appearance; I half-expected to find squatters. Seems they're more dedicated to their contract with Premier Inn than attending to other potential customers.

Good for an emergency pit stop, friendly staff, who were very understanding/reassuring when child accidentally broke a glass. Not much atmosphere when we visited as it was very early evening meal - no-one else other than staff present. Food was good for the price.

We went fo a lunch on Sunday it was empty only 2 table full in the restaurant, we waited to be seated the staff saw us but didn’t came and after while my wife ask the bar guy if could call someone, than he said we could order in the bar ( why he didn’t say that before if he saw us awaiting?) So we ordered quickly as we already new what we wanted to eat. After 30 min waiting my wife went to ask the waiter if would take long time still, he said about 10 min that our food was already on the making, after 50 minutes waiting or food arrived and my husband’s steak was cold.

Well what can I say. I think the best part of the meal was the packet of heinz ketchup. I'm not sure how you can make a chicken goujon look like some sort of atomic bomb victim, it literally fell to dust it was so overcooked. I am pretty sure my steak was dusty as it was so dry.

Came with my 2 young grandchildren for some dinner. They both had pizza & I had the smothered chicken. Service was excellent. Food was lovely & it all came out very quickly.

Overall nice pub. Great atmosphere with loads of small screened individually decorated areas containing only a few tables, Nice variety of pub food and good value breakfast, continental choices and simple flexible style full English breakfast (just select the components, and they are cooked fresh and served quickly). No other choices like Benedict, salmon etc, just full English. Could no with some minor refresh, some of the seats had worn fabric and the entry was a bit shabby but overall great place to meet a few friends over a meal and a drink.
