James made me the best rich hazelnut hot choccie I've ever had - keep up the great work and thank you very much for your professionalism and friendly, easy going attitude.

Our always go-to coffee shop. I love all the hot chocolate drinks. The price is reasonable and the VIP card is helpful for discounts. The ambiance is perfect and friendly staff. Will recommend this place and will definitely go back. x

We had a lovely coffee and absolutely amazing hot dark chocolate with chilli kick. Icecream from machine also very tasty and original brownie just to die for. We visited this place just before closing on Saturday, 7pm but staff were nice and kind. Simply and rather basic interior with access to electric sockets.

Omg this place is bad. The Cafe has the slowest and most disinterested staff I have ever seen. We waited 20 mins at the counter to be served, to then sit down at a filthy table with previous customer's cups on it. There were 3 members of staff behind the counter, only one of them was serving. The other two just moped about looking confused. I saw them make an order for a customer, and it sat on the side ready to be served for 20 mins. No care, no urgency, no sense of let's sort this tip out.What a dump.

I had a delicious chocolate shake here today, It was generally ok however I wish the chocolates were more affordable, it's a good treat though if you have the money to spare. It quenched my chocolate cravings.

Had a nice experience and never tried them before I love the chocolate orange ice lolly, never had it in my entire life and my niece enjoyed her ice cream with caramel syrup It was tasty and so good. The ladies at the counter were very helpful.

I have often purchased products from the Hotel Chocolat chocolate shops but never tried their cafe. Due to having a VIP membership, Hotel Chocolat emailed a £5 voucher for my birthday - which was a lovely gesture. I decided this would finally be the time to treat myself to a product from their cafe. However, it was a little disappointing that though my voucher was eligible, I had to spend an amount exceeding £5. This was not mentioned in the fine print of my email. I hope the Hotel Chocolat PR team considers this little note to prevent misleading customers.I thus ordered a medium 'milky' hot chocolate and chose the 'nutty' brownie to accompany it. Due to my voucher, I only paid £1.65, yet it baffled me how such a miniature brownie was £2.70! I was further surprised at seeing the size of the medium cup, which resembled an espresso cup. The hot chocolate itself was much too sweet, which admittedly sounds quite silly considering I purchased it from a chocolate shop! The chocolate cream on top was too rich and chocolatey, making the drink overwhelmingly sickly. I would assume something from the coffee range would be preferable for those who don't have a sweet tooth like myself.I likely would not return to the cafe as the prices are too high, considering the quantity and quality of products (subjectively speaking). Nevertheless, it was a pleasant gesture and experience from Hotel Chocolat. I will definitely be returning to purchase chocolates from the shop!
