I had problems with cracked skin and general foot ache, mainly from golf and gym activities. Matthew was recommended by a friend, which always helps when going to a healthcare provider for the first time. From the minute Matthew greeted me I felt reassured by his knowledge and his explanation of the equipment he was going to use. My experience was in fact much more than I had anticipated, as Matthew was able to detect the blood supply efficiency to my feet, which was highly reassuring. The session lasted an hour and the difference after the treatment was amazing, no hard skin, no pain and felt fantastic. I would highly recommend Matthew at Next Step, he’s very calm and knowledgeable professional, the clinic is very clean and clinical with amazing equipment to treat many issues.

From first contact to post operation Matt was incredible, very thorough and professional at all times. This was my third time getting toe nail surgery both through NHS, I decided to go private this time and I would definitely recommend Matt as my first choice podiatrist. Finding Matt has been a god send. I am diabetic and have to be very careful with my feet. For some time I had been less than happy with the previous place, feeling as a regular they had become complacent. I wasn't wrong. Pain increased so badly I couldn't sleep and was limping because of a poorly cut nail. I managed to book online at 4 am for the same day. 24 hours on I am pain free, walk normally and can relax as I am in safe hands, Matt is a very competent and caring professional, his friendly manner putting you at ease, at once. Highly recommended.

An excellent physio. Matt was very thorough in his assessment of my muscle issues and took the time to explain how all the muscles and nerves function. The app-based exercises provided were easy to follow and the built-in tracking helped me stick to the advised schedule. Would highly recommend!

I found Matt to be very thorough in his analysis of my foot problems and brilliant at explaining and providing advice.I booked in for the pain and injury assessment and received a comprehensive analysis and exercise plan. His knowledge is very impressive and he has some pretty interesting technology to complement the manual investigation.Having suffered for several months with a very sore foot, Matt's consultation has given me a clear path to putting things right. If I'd waited on nhs podiatry referal i reckon I'd have put up with several more months of pain.Matt clearly loves his job and helping people, can't recommend him enough

Have had 3 appointments with Matt now to fix stubborn plantar fascittis. I had pretty much given up with recurrent pain for nearly a year :( He used the shockwave" machine and I could not believe how quickly the pain relief was

i have been taking my elderly mum to Matt, every few weeks, since he opened, as she had a lot going on with her neglected tootsies. She always leaves with a wee skip in her step and a smile on her face, after her treatment. She is almost at the maintenance stage, thanks to Matt's expertise and vast knowledge. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a podiatrist in Edinburgh. His chat is very enlightening too!! Oh and online booking is very easy to navigate, with appointment reminders nearer the date of attending. Would not go anywhere else now.

MEDICASH accepted!As a 30 year old male I was rather intimated about going to get my feet scene. I had serious itchy and dry feet and was conscious of them. I honestly wish I had went sooner. I had some terrible athletes foot all over my feet. One session here and a few months on my feet are still on great condition. Will defo be checking in once/ twice a year at least. He made me feel very relaxed and comfortable and got straight to work and gave tips. His communication and ability to book online was the winner to booking over others. Also medicash is accepted.
