Bronwydd Arms (Gwili Railway)

Thoroughly recommended. The train ride is nearly two hours and is very picturesque. A MUST if you are in the area.

Great ride on a steam train, lovely tea and cake half way along, dog enjoyed it, made very welcome

Pretty slow, it's supposed to be an hour and a half of train ride, but the ride is actually for 30 mins or so, rest of the time is for stoppages and engine direction change. The route is partly scenic.People who are operating this were very warm and welcoming and it was enjoyable.We went on a rainy day and the train got delayed while coming back. Overall, in terms of nostalgia probably good but left a lot more to be desired.

I've grown up with the Gwili railway, my grandad used to own one of the houses just down from the station.As of present, the railway has come on leaps and bounds, with a new" extension (it's been there a while now) and some stunning views following the River Gwili up through the Carmarthenshire countryside.This is a well recommended day out for all of the family."
