Golden Sea Chinese Restaurant
My honest review is there was no atmosphere, it was virtually empty, our drinks order I believe was forgotten, it took ages to be served. The food was poor to mediocre at best, I asked for curry special, I had mainly sauce and onions, very little meat , no mushrooms at all , very few ingredients, did have two prawns. I have had far better from takeaways, the cost for the curry special and fried rice about £16, the soup starter was too gelatin like, starters were about £4 , with drinks it all added up, so would expect better food.

Wonderful service. The woman serving us was incredibly polite and accommodating to my slightly awkward order. She kept making sure we were comfortable, even down to checking the music wasn't too loud.The food was amazing. I really enjoyed the salt and pepper chicken, vermicelli and hong kong duck.The prices were incredibly reasonable especially considering portion size.We will certainly go again.

Six of us ate here last Friday evening, the restaurant was fairly empty, but the food was really good, and the service from the lady front of house was first class. Really enjoyable.

Great food, very tasty indeed. Recommend the Pak Far Rolls for sure! When dining in on a weekday, it’s great. The hostess is lovely and she’s very good at her role(s). The problem is there’s only one of her, so if you dine in at the weekend it’s quite awkward - you don’t want to add to her workload by asking for anything!Feels like they don’t really want to have a restaurant. If they went all out and hired more staff/updated the restaurant decor and expanded dining tables into the bar area, I’m sure they could be very successful, the food quality and the standard service is all there. As it is, it’s a solid 4 stars.

I started going to Golden Sea since 2017 - food is always fresh and hot with decent portion sizes. Take out is also cooked fresh and hot, the only negative is that delivery is not an option. Most dishes I have tried so far were delicious, with a couple of things I was not too keen on (personal preference). So far this is my favourite Chinese restaurant/take out in Brighouse and the only place in Brighouse that does their satay sauce right! Staff is always very friendly and recognises me and my SO everytime we come for a sit in meal or to pick up a take out. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Incredibly lovely food, atmosphere and service. A little expensive but the quality is well worth it. The set meals offered on the menu seem to be more cost effective. Will definitely come again.

Exceptional service and amazing value for money. My partner and I were in Brighouse on business and came in here for dinner. June the lady that looked after us was absolutely lovely and so so attentive, nothing was too much. The only problem we have is that we live too far away to be able to come here again.

Went for a takeaway last night Oct 8th. My advice is avoid!Yeung Chow fried was nearly all rice with barely any meat. The shredded duck soup was mainly shredded vegetables with just a few meagre scraps of duck. I went back to complain and ask for some kind of refund but the chef and waitress lamely backed each other up. It was a £9.40 rip off.

Our meal was small and tasteless. Hot and sour soup was more like sweet and sour cornflour. This is the worst Chinese meal we have eaten. It has put me off eating Chinese for ever. Absolutely tasteless
