Very efficient service from pleasant and friendly helpful staff, reasonable prices, quick service

Took in a pleated tartan school skirt to be resized. They called back the next day, a Saturday morning, explained what work would be done and quoted us a price. We collected the altered garment that afternoon. The quality of the work was excellent and the price very reasonable. Will be using them again.

My husband and I had three handmade wallhangings from Nepal that we wanted to hang, but didn't have any mechanism by which to do so. We went into Morningside Tailors to ask, and the person who served us (Lindsey) was extremely friendly and helpful.Based on our research, and talking with a wallhanging expert, we realized that we needed to sew loops (about 1 wide) spaced every 8" cm or so

Ridiculously expensive and terrible work. Never again

Had my jeans shortened here and collected the next day. The quality is good and the price is reasonable.

Quick, professional service, and not too pricey.

Quite the most appalling experience. If I was able to post 0 stars I would. They took a brand new Cos jacket of my mothers and basically ruined it. Became aggressive and very agitated when challenged, kept telling us the jacket had been wrong to begin with because the back didn't match the front ! Never heard of a swing back or bias cut or anything beyond straight up and down. If it was beyond their capabilities to take in slightly, then they should have said so instead of taking money from an elderly woman and telling her the altered back was fine when it very clearly wasn't. Initially refused to even unpick what they had done to ruin it and refund the egregious charge until I said I would call the local police. You know the owner is a wrong 'un when instead of just admitting their mistake 'mea culpa', they argued and wanted to charge more to try and put it right. Wouldn't trust them at all. We have been left with a jacket with side seams cut open. The owners behaviour verged on threatening. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I took in a blouse to be repaired. Lynsey did a terrific job. The cost of the repair was very reasonable and it was ready to be collected two days later. I have no hesitation in recommending this business. I will definitely be back.

BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE.Terrible customer service,dishonest and unfriendly staff with extremely bad attitude.Their charge is OUTRAGEOUS!I went there a few times,the worst experience was I brought 10 garments(dresses and blouses) that needs some SMALL repairs,the staff told me it will take one week or two,he will call to let me know. Never called.After MORE THAN A MONTH I went there ask for my clothes and it turned out there are a few garments missing! A different staff was there,she checked my receipt and told me it was marked '5 dresses' so that's all.I insisted there were more garments so she had to call the colleague.The truth was the colleague did not finish some of the repairs and those unfinished ones were not in the shop.No apologise at all. They charged me LOTS £££(imagine)but that was not the worst, later I found out 4 garments were not properly repaired,I had to fix them by myself!NEVER AGAIN!!
