St Chad`s Catholic Church is located on Cheetham Hill Rd, just five minutes walk from Victoria Station and also in walking distance from Piccadilly Station.It lies in a still much dilapidated area of the city which these days borders on the new edifices of Manchester`s new up and coming metropolitan artistic and business elite whose high rise apartments tower above and look down on The spire of St Chad`s.This 19th century church ,whose patron this area is named after,was recently taken over by the Oratorian fathers of St Philip Neri who for several years ran the great neo Gothic edifice of the Holy Name on Oxford Rd.

Beautiful and stunning oratory set on a hill overlooking manchester from the east. Daily Mass and confessions are 30 minutes before a Mass. Come here to escape the busy lifestyle and find peace within.

Authentic Catholicism! Mass is a wonderful experience. The priests are wise, kindly and welcoming - bring along your doggie for a blessing! It's church as it should be: Fr Ray Matus in particular is legendary in Manchester. I travel great distances to come here whenever possible.

This is a lovely and very humble oratory. The priests are so lovely, Father Christopher is always on hand if you need help.Mass is always very well done, and the choir is heavenly.I attend every week, and there are a variety of services to attend, shop before mass on a Sunday, and always lots going on. Lovely community and would highly recommend. I feel very lucky to attend mass here.
