Yorkshire Building Society

A friendly and helpful building society. Their rates are usually similar to most building societies and banks (which these days is poor) but you feel your not dealing with some huge faceless organisation.

If I could give lower I would , spent hours on the phone trying to get to the product transfer team , at the end of a term which put me in arrears because I couldn’t contact a human to amend the fixed rate that been on for 10+ years with no problem, had to go through the local branch to be connected with a human who tells me the mortgage has risen by 400 a month because of the inability for me to get through?

I find it easy to reach and despite all the restrictions the service is always excellent.
