Log Cabin Café

Nice place to have a cuppa and a cake at the end of a long walk. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were happy that they had vegan milk available as well as lovely vegan bakewell slices. The lady said she gave us the biggest ones!There seemed to be no seating area indoors, which was a bit of a shame, but the outdoor seating area was clean and well maintained. Prices very reasonable.

Cappucino was frothy watered down milk (no taste of coffee at all.) Bacon baps were OK but fries were oily and soggy, I sent them back and they returned oily soggy and slightly warmer

Coffee was very weak and the cakes were very cold.Shame really as it looked a nice place to stop on our walk.

Exceptionally poor customer service. Waited a while to be acknowledged, then told no food available. No sorry just no".Mid service decided to have a conversation with another staff member.Coffee tastes like it's been stewed through a pile of cat feaces. Certainly avoiding here again."

Looked like a great place to stop but i was left disappointed.

Cheese & onion toastie - spot on!The milkey, water based no flavour cappuccino- vile.Someone needs to let them know that mixing hot water & milk might create bubbles but not froth.It’s also a shame that they have removed the original setup and the only seating is outdoors.They have the opportunity to be a popular goldmine, without competition in a popular walking area- their missing out!

It took me a while to write this, as I wanted to make sure my service user was comfortable.I am a support worker, POC leader for the specific service user I was taking out.He really wanted to go to Himley Hall and get some food. I’ve gone to the log cabin before so I recommended getting food here.He has severe learning disability and anxiety, so getting him out was a great success!Due to it being so hot, we ordered the food and wanted to stay inside due to my service user being anxious with how many people were outside. Two members of staff were absolutely incredible, helped us while we were waiting.One member of staff however, was awful and cruel to my service user, and I’ve never seen something so horrible. While he was ordering, she rushed him and demanded him to pick something while he was trying to speak, then while we were waiting inside, she kept shouting at him to get out because “that’s how it works” although I explained he was quite anxious. She then blatantly told him to “MOVE”, and he was really confused at this point so I had to help settle my service user down.Then our orders came out, and the one woman bringing them out was incredible and spoke to my service user very softly which I know he greatly appreciated. He was confused whether he order sauce or not, so I asked him “do you remember ordering tomato sauce” and the first woman screamed over at him “I know what he ordered” and also “ugh he ordered this” I said I understand that I’m just checking what he wanted, and then repeated my question to him. She then called us over to grab the order out of the bin and said “LOOK, that’s what he orders that’s what he gets”.I’ve never been so distraught to see someone be treated this way, as I wasn’t asking whether or not he had sauce, but making sure he was able to get what he wanted since they were rushed at the start.I thanked the second woman the brought the food out and said I greatly appreciate your help, and left. My service user was so hurt and upset. I know they love going to himley but this completely ruined the trip and it’ll be very difficult getting them back out.

If I could put no stars I would. What rude women that work there ! Get yourself some people skills

Strange place, you can't have tomato sauce in a pot , they have to put it on your food even salt and vinegarSo everything was ordered and then when it arrived there was no sauce on the burgers or chips as requested went back to ask for some and was told we had to return food so they could squirt some on. Really !!!Never bothered it's too much of a deal for them.Food was hot and edible but its all the messing about at the till and the chap taking orders was not the brightest button.

Google maps says open til 4pm, arrived at 3:20 and it was shut.Access is across the gravel car park so not wheelchair friendly.
