San Carlo was an excellent choice in the city of Liverpool. It turns out to be a good option because Italian food is one of the best internationally.The most positive points turn out to be the food that was really good and appetizing, the waiters are attentive and fast.The most negative points turns out to be the noisy environment that makes it difficult for people to talk to each other even if the bar is at the entrance and the restaurant is more sheltered. Good facilities, modern place and with immense potential.

First time in this restaurant and it was overall a good experience. It was well located and easy to find. The service was prompt and efficient.I had the arancini for starters. I was a little disappointed as they were quite small and didn't have the mozzarella core I would have expected, if I ordered in Italy. However the absolute star of the show was the chicken calzone. It was one of the best I have ever had. Plenty of filling and tasted soooo good! The tiramasu was tasty but a little on the small side for the price.The ambiance was good, although I did find it a little on the dark side as you can see in the photos.Overall I would return if only to enjoy another calzone.

We were blown away by the service and how we were welcomed and treated. Every interaction we had from beginning to end was a masterclass in hospitality. We were looked after by Domenico (apologies if misspelled) -- who was the cherry on top.The food was exceptional. We had two of the dishes suggested by one of the team.We left feeling very cared for, very well fed and very happy.

Oh the food was heavenly, me and my husband celebrated our first anniversary date night with them and believe me the night couldn’t have been better. The staff was super courteous and friendly, the ambience was full of cheer and food was best Italian I have ever had.

Me and a friend went here for dinner and the food was delicious!! The service was impeccable and everything came so quickly and I would highly reccomend for dates, family/any occasion!!

One of the best Italian restaurant chains with commendable consistency across the branches!Very attentive and pleasant staff despite how bustling it was during our visit.Will be back to try some other items off the menu.

Quick lunch so walked in. Great refurbishment. Seated immediately, all staff exceptional. The manager was less polite. Shared tuna tartar, and mixed seafood. Will be back for fish menu.

Went there for a surprise birthday dinner for my boyfriend. Our reservation was at 17 00.On the website they give the option to add your photo in order to greet you by name, which I did.We got there, the hosts asked us if we had a reservation without even aknowledging him or trying to figure out if they already should know him, as per their stated website policy.When mumbling through the reservation list (only 1 for 17 00) and asking for his name multiple times, the hostes proceeded to show him our reservation with all the notes and comments I have made (that it was his bday, that this was a surprise, that I would want to pay for a bday dessert if possible).I was lucky I was careful enough to insist that the hostes doesn t spoil the surprise even further so she moved the tablet away.Service was rather slow but polite. We had to ask for dessert after waiting for about 10 mins after the dessert menu was dropped off as our server wasn't around.Food was tasty and well seasoned. Bday dessert came out as requested, without an aditional price, which I appreciated and is the reason for 3 stars instead of 2.Cheesecake was on point.All in all, the hostes almost ruined a bday and the service could be more attentive.
