Think the owner needs a day off. Came and asked him for an Italian sausage today which seemed to offend him greatly. Looks at me like a ghost, says “no” and proceeds to point to his sausages which “he makes”. Not sure if he’s aware Italian sausages can be made outside of Italy?Only Come here on occasion and I get a similar interaction every time. No manners, Bloke is rude and his shop is dirty

Great produce, but if you're with a pram forget about getting inside when it's busy, and depending who's working that day you may or may not get served at the window (not in my latest experience)

Not JUST the best butcher in the area, also one of the best pastry joints in town for both sweet n savoury delights!TIP: if you fancy your scotch egg fresh/warm go around lunch time (no guarantees) but as per my personal experience 8 out of 10 time you’re lucky

Insane bakery items and desserts. So delicious. Brownies and Banoffee pudding especially good. Excellent service too.

Update: It's now been 6 happy years of baked goods, beaded chicken thighs for skiing into salads at lunch, chicken pies, frangipani and of course the brilliant butchery.We had a high tea at our wedding recently and the scones, quiches and scotch eggs were an easy choice. 1 week's notice and the team knocked it out of the park - thank you for such delicious food!! The guests loved it.----Absolutely love everything they do. The butchery is fresh, eggs, bacon, sausages, allow cooked cuts, we've rented them all. And the bakery side.. the family quiches are excellent, the chicken pie... Still gets compliments from family members and the frangipans are extra good. Try the chili scotch eggs. And ask for cooking instructions, many a good tip has been shared by the team there.

My partner and I love this butcher shop.Think of it more like a deli, with a great selection of raw meats and also pre prepared foods.We can't walk by without getting at least one scotch egg (which are prepared throughout the day so almost always hot when available)Other half loves the sticky BBQ chicken wings too.The selection for such a small shop is immense with pies, cakes and quiches freshly made and actually great prices too.A real local favourite.

Amazing bakers/butchers with great selection of hot and cold food. Bacon and sausage in a baguette is my favourite. There steak pies are amazing also! Very easy to spend a lot of money there as the food is great!

This was a true delight. Great meat selection on one side - great sweet, pie and sandwich on the other. Staff were great too. Loved it!

The place is amazing. I have only just discovered it, but wish I had so much earlier. It's a proper old fashioned butchers/deli and bakery. Lots of delicious things to choose from. The reason I went was because of the homemade pulled pork, cracking, stuffing and BBQ/apple sauce baguette. It is unreal, and under a fiver. The choc brownie was fantastic as well. Free homemade lemonade while you wait as well
