Avoid, unreliable and inexperiencedOur booking -made in April for August and confirmed multiple times- was cancelled via WhatApp message 48 hours before we were due to go on holidays. This was done 2 hours into our dog's 3rd settling in session. The previous two had gone well. When I collected my dog, he was very clearly distressed, and he required urgent veterinary care. Another dog had bitten him badly. This was not mentioned at handover and the proprietor appeared not to have noticed. She claimed he had been aggressive to her dogs but he has never ever showed any signs of aggression, he is a young, very gentle cocker spaniel with plenty of experience with other dogs and he was the one injured. The resident dogs appeared to have been the issue. It is a lovely setting, and she seems nice, but the proprietor is clearly inexperienced with dogs other than tiny ones, out of her depth and unreliable, not what you need if you require dog boarding. I’ve thought hard about this review, but I am writing this as I feel we have had a lucky escape and I want to make sure another dog is not injured, and another family's holiday is not ruined.
