Have been in the pub this afternoon, quite busy.It's a very well run pub with both excellent bar staff and manageress.Drinks prices are very competitive.The decor is very good and the place is usually immaculate.As a pub in chester -le-street ?It's well worth a visit....I would definitely call in if you're in town....oh, and if you're hungry, they serve toasties.I would recommend the ham and cheese toasties cos they fill that gap very nicely !

Great atmosphere. Locals and staff made myself and my mum feel welcome. Thank you. The bloke serving me was very welcoming and helpful!Popped in on the off chance whilst waiting for a bus, glad we did!

A great place to go for a cold beer on a hot day this pub is in a great location at the bottom of the high street the staff and the locals are friendly they have a good choice of beers and ciders and you can get a toastie if you like I have been in all of the pubs in Chester le street and this one I like the must all year round

Something on nearly everyday karaoke Monday Wednesday Friday and Sunday bingo Wednesday afternoon Bands on Saturday all topped up with cheap beer and excellent bar staff.

Nice Friendly Staff And Customers A Good Pint A popular Place For Local People Bands Are Back And The Thursday Night Karaoke Does Well. You Need To Be In Early As It Gets Quite Full On Saturdays. One Of The Cheapest Bars In Chester-Le Street.

First time I've ever visited but I needed to re-hydrate during the extreme temperatures that day. A bit 'seedy' but the international cricket was on and the Guinness was fine and at a decent price...
