I took my Dyson vacuum cleaner in to be fixed as it had lost suction. The guy managed to fix it there and then on site. Fantastic friendly, professional and expert service. Has a good range of appliances too. Highly recommended.

So pleased to see local showroom coming back to life. Have used AJL over last 10+ years. Bought a new Bosch washing machine. Mark was very helpful. I benefitted from his expertise when deciding on which model to buy to replace my old Bosch. He was able to deliver the new machine after the kitchen had been decorated.

Had a very poor experience. After having a problem with a Siemens washer/dryer after a chat on the phone I was advised to get an engineer to come. I was promised as I had 2 weeks before new tenants moved in that it would either be fixed or we could replace in that time. The engineer came and said I would either hear back that afternoon or the following day being a Saturday. I heard nothing and called on the Saturday afternoon to be promised someone would call right back. Nothing. I called on Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday by which time I was getting concerned due to time. I had no call back or reply to an email. On the Thursday the lady told me that they were very buisy and possibly it’s better to go elsewhere! I went to AO to get a new machine- good service. Very let down by AJL. They took £108 from me for the engineer visit and was then ignored. I shan’t use them and I’d advise anyway to be aware.

Wonderful local business with brilliant customer service. Have used their excellent engineers for appliance repairs for more than 15 years. This week have had the pleasure of dealing with Colette and Lisa who've sourced spares for my mother's elderly Miele and vintage Hoover vacuum cleaners in double-quick time.

I can’t praise AJL enough. They certainly know their stuff. I had a problem with my Neff dishwasher and they solved the problem promptly. The engineer on arrival was punctual and courteous throughout his visit. I will definitely use AJL again and will most certainly pass on their good workmanship.

Thursday morning, 20th December and our old Miele washing machine starts leaking heavily. We called AJL but given the time of year we weren’t expecting much of a quick response. Next day, engineer arrives, at the time we were told and 35 mins later and a new part, all solved. Next time I need a machine repaired or replaced, I’m going nowhere else. First rate.

I've been here before, had good service, but the wonderful Internet said they were open, when they weren't! It's ironic too that the very thing I depended on is also responsible for the demise of places like this.OK, never believe what you see online, and phone calls went unanswered, but maybe an out of hours answer message actually saying they were closed would have saved me a bus journey.In their defence, the modern age of throwaway white goods makes these places extra special for those of us who prefer to fix rather than replace, and I can understand the need for downtime if custom is slow.When I did get through on the twisted pair the voice the other end was very apologetic, but the parts I needed (motor brushes for a very common washing machine) were deemed to need ordering, so in my haste I had to source elsewhere.Places like this need support, and I will continue to do so, but keeping online information accurate would have made my task that little bit easier.Keep up the good work!
