Train with Faye, Dog Training & Behaviour

We've had a few dogs and a few dog trainers. A few years ago we were looking for puppy training for our new dog, and we signed up to Faye's puppy class just because it was the most convenient time out of all the trainers' classes available. We took that puppy to two sets of Faye's class; when we got our most recent puppy, we would not have chosen anyone else.Faye is friendly, helpful, empathetic, and most important of all, she has limitless patience. She has of course helped us with training commands and understanding behaviour, but she has also stuck with us while our puppies have sudden-onset deafness, offered us alternative approaches when they just refuse to do what is asked, and always helped us when we ask for advice on puppy matters, like mouthing.I'd recommend her to absolutely anyone, and in a market where anyone can call themselves a dog trainer, she really knows her stuff.

Just finished our 3 week essentials classes for my 5 month old puppy.Faye was extremely patient with my excitable/ barking pup!She was so kind and calming too - On my fist session I was 15 minutes late as my puppy had jumped all over and was nipping at an Amazon delivery driver (he let himself into my garden) I was mortified. I bled my heart out on arrival in front of the small class but Faye and her assistant were so understanding. They spent time discussing adolescence and helped me not feel like I was failing. As a (retired) Vet Nurse I think I have high expectations of good behaviour and I’m so keen not to make mistakes with my puppy.With Faye’s simple and gentle techniques I finally feel like I’m winning at this!Very easy to use the techniques at home and the e mailed notes from each session I print out so I can easily refer back to them.Thank you Faye. Faye is a passionate and very experienced dog trainer / behaviourist. Her understanding of dogs informs her reward-based training methods and she explains their behaviour so well to owners.My puppy attended her classes in November and December 2020 – due to the pandemic some sessions were face-to-face and others online. In the face-to-face sessions she ensured the hall was kept scrupulously sanitised and we remained at least 2 metres apart. Online, she explained each exercise and showed a short video before we practised with our pups. She offered guidance and praise throughout.My puppy and I learned loads, understanding his behaviour helped him and I bond and Faye provided specific guidance to assist my puppy walk well on a lead. I will definitely continue his training with Faye and recommend her to anyone with a puppy or adult dog.

We have both really enjoyed our puppy training with Faye . We have learnt a lot of tips and essential ways to help our puppy stay safe and healthy . Faye has a very reassuring calm manor about her , and would thoroughly recommend her if you need help training your pupDiane

Faye has a gentle approach but really knows her stuff. i got many useful tips from Puppy School and will continue to follow Faye's excellent advice and implement training.

Faye is a brilliant person to deliver an informative, supportive and enjoyable Puppy School. Our puppy gained alot from attending, in his confidence with other dogs. There was a marked change after the first week in his behaviour. I felt confident that I could ask for advice and learn in a happy environment. Thank you Faye!

I’ve just finished a training course with my dog and I couldn’t recommend Faye highly enough. She welcomed us and made us feel comfortable within the group. I found her to be very knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions that I or the other class members had. I have already noticed a difference in my dogs behaviour and I feel I have been shown some good techniques to help improve her training in the coming weeks/months. Overall a very pleasant and informative experience.

We had an initial six week puppy session with Faye and although Covid meant that 4 of the sessions were online, we were still really happy with Faye.We discussed a number of puppy related areas and Faye was always happy to explore and answer any questions we had.Rocky really enjoyed the time we were all together and believe that he, and we as puppy owners, have really benefited from the sessionsWould not hesitate to recommend. We have been delighted with Faye’s help in training our new puppy. We didn’t have a lot of experience and certainly needed some support, particularly with play biting. Faye visited us at home (pre lockdown) and demonstrated some excellent fun positive techniques, and reassured us in a very non judgemental way. We also attended puppy school in Maidenhead following this, which was brilliantly run (in person and then online due to lockdown) which we found very beneficial and good value for money. We will definitely be returning for the next stage of classes. Highly recommended.
