Had to have my car towed via breakdown assist. Excellent communication and service from these guys. There was a delay in the arrival (an accident on the motorway that had priority) and the driver called me and kept me updated. He was efficient and quick in the recovery and was very helpful. Definitely recommend these guys.

Baileyfield Garage to the rescue! After waiting nearly 2 hours for the first company allocated by LV to not show up a friendly face from Baileyfield Garage arrived . Though my car could not be fixed he delivered it to a nearby garage and kept me in good spirits on the way home. Thank you !

My van hand brakes seized whilst visiting a relative in Edinburgh over Christmas. AutoAid assigned Baileyfield Garage to provide roadside assistance. Mechanic arrived and hit both rear brake drums without removing the wheels. One wheel freed up but one only partially freed. Baileyfield returned after Christmas to try again. Mechanic incorrectly jacked the van and bent the jacking point. He later called one of his colleagues who aso attended. To my surprise they removed my vehicle from the driveway without my knowledge and took it away!. No idea where? but when it was returned(not repaired) they parked it across the road upon the pavement instead of the driveway. This was obviously to prevent me from noticing the damage caused by them!!!!! See attached photo. The brakes have subsequently been repaired. Just needed the drums removed and cleaned. Very quick and simple!Sorry to the Baileyfield owners but I do not recommend the mechanics working at this garage.

I had an issue with a low pressure in one of rear tires yesterday. It was a car used by my daughter to take driving test exam and an examiner gave her five minutes to fix the problem to start her exam. I asked one guy spotted by chance near the location of Driving Test Centre for help. That man was Scot from Bailefield Garage who disinterestedly pumped up the wheel. If Bailefield Garage has people like Scot in its team, that business must be successful. Scot, you are a real spirit of this garage. Thank you so much.

My wife's bike wouldn't start when we were out for a spin. After a quick call, they turned up within about 10 mins, and started it with an external battery charger. As it's suspected to be the alternator causing the issue, he followed us home to central Edinburgh just in case the bike stalled again and we were stuck. In my opinion, service above and beyond, for a very reasonable fee. Would defo use again.

Had a problem with my car not starting and the chap that came out was really kind and helpful. He talked through all my options with me, as someone who doesn't know a lot about cars this was great. I could not recommend them enough.

So grateful for the help I got from Baileyfield Garage today. Plate underneath car fell down when in town so I couldn’t drive. I had both my toddler and my dog in the car so was pretty stressed. They were helpful as always and got to me quickly to make sure I could get home safely. Will continue to use their services in the future (although hopefully I don’t break down again anytime soon!). Thank you again.

Visiting Edinburgh from Manchester just a day before Easter holidays, car broke down (drive shaft came off) on Portobello Rd.Guy named DAVID (i believe the Owner) came from this garage and he was just awesome. So friendly and caring. He couldnt have helped us more.He towed the car, and said he will give a call next morning with a quote and if he can get the car repaired or not (depending if he has the parts available).Not only he called us with a quote, repaired the car same day by afternoon (as he knew we have to leave for Aberdeen same day). He really saved the trip for us.Thanks guys (Y)
