Amazing small airfield, where you can see so many beautiful small aircrafts. You can fly from there and enjoy view on Kent. See beautiful While Cliffs of Dover, sea, Canterbury and if you focus you might see France in distance. Very friendly plane owners.

Flew in today and was very impressed. Andy and Sally were friendly and welcoming on the phone and provided useful information about flying in and where to park. The complimentary WiFi and tea/coffee is a nice touch and plenty of seating where it’s nice to relax and watch other aircraft come and go. Highly recommend the pub just up the road

Rather unfriendly to visitor who cycled in from Ramsgate. Told insurance not cover visitors or quests unless they flew in. I must say as ex flying instructor and aircraft owner from another country this is without doubt the least welcoming airstrip I have ever visited. Perhaps just a bad day and somewhat restrictive insurance!

Maypole Airfield
I have have flown to and from Maypole several times and I always telephone first for PPR. The strip is well maintained and easy to find. There are noise sensitive areas east of the airfield. Drinks and snacks are available and the residents are very welcoming.
