An amazing place with amazing designers

We're delighted with our new B1 kitchen and couldn't have asked for a better service from Bulthaup Winchester. Stewart and Lesley brilliantly and seamlessly managed us through our two year journey from dream to ideas to SketchUp to reality. Their knowledge, skill, creativity and friendly approach made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience plus the final installation by Trevor and Ron was impeccable.

Hobson's Choice completely refitted our kitchen, including redecoration of the adjacent snug. We had previously used them for refitting several bathrooms, and were beyond pleased with the results. This installation also did not disappoint. From the planning phase all the way through to the final clean up, Hobson's were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, skilled and timely. We plan to use them again in future, and also highly recommend them to our friends.

We are very pleased with our bulthaup kitchen! Stewart & Lesley took onboard our wish list & created a product which makes the most of our unusual space. The quality of the units & the finish is excellent.

Our journey with Bulthaup/Hobsons Choice, Winchester began when renovating our home and we wanted a kitchen that would be at the heart of our living space. Our inspiartion for a Bulthaup kitchen was the beautiful cherrywood island as seen online when researching style and design.From the moment we first visited the showroom in Winchester, Richard Carter and Richard Keyes were brilliant, in helping us explore the layout options, to maximise the kitchen space and views into the garden. We also visited the showroom in Swindon.From then on, the amazing Pieter Du Toit guided us throughout the kitchen design and installation process. Pieter was attentive, patient and just superb.We tailored the colour chioces and use of materials to our vision and are delighted with the outcome. The fitters were also excellent and the attention to detail was second to none.We would strongly recommend Hobsons Choice and cannot thank them enough for our wonderful collaboration. The team at Hobsons Choice are fantastic end to end. Pieter Du Toit led our design and buying experience. We worked brilliantly with him. He was always onto everything, provided both challenge and support to our thinking, it felt like great team work. We also had support from Guy Foan when Pieter was on annual leave, the interface handover and then back, was great. Final point to call out, the two Bens who installed the kitchen (Pieter came to site a couple of times also), great to have in the house, fun guys and really hard working (some of the singing questionable, particularly a rendition of a Dr Hook track one day…. ;-) ) . We could not be more pleased with our whole experience with Hobson’s Choice.

We wanted to create what we eventually learned to call a ‘media wall’. We picked Hobsons Choice in Winchester as they are local and who best understood what we were trying to achieve. Basically we wanted to take prominence away from our TV and to hide all of our media resources: hi-fi, music vault, Apple TV and so on. Decluttering and making a stylish focus. Guy designed the scheme for us with Remedesio italian made components, in glass and walnutOnce the components arrived they were fitted by Ben and Ben, to a standard way beyond expectations, to a level that puts everyone else in the shade. Every microscopic detail was attended to and exceeded. Shaun was drafted in to put in all the electrical fittings, sockets and switches that we needed, again a thorough and professional job. The final item is now in place and we are still smilingThank you everyone at Hobsons Choice, you are our no 1 choice…

We previously had a Bulthaup kitchen in a smaller build project several years ago and had been very happy with it, so when it came to building a new house we didn’t hesitate to choose Bulthaup again. Preferring to use local suppliers where possible, Winchester was the nearest showroom.Pieter du Toit was our designer and we immediately felt in safe hands. He completely understood the nature of the house design and what we were trying to achieve. In fact, apart from the odd tweak here and there, one of his first designs was pretty much what we ended up going with. As well as a main Bulthaup kitchen, for a back kitchen and laundry room Pieter suggested using Schüller. The quality and finish of both of these Schüller rooms is also excellent.With COVID and the vagaries of a new build to contend with, Pieter was both patient and supportive - a voice of calm when many other things on the project were far from it! He communicated promptly and efficiently, both to us and our builder which ensured that both schedules worked seamlessly. So impressed were the builders that they have subsequently recommended him to other clients.From the initial concept, to the skill and craftsmanship of the fitters and the quality of all the finished products, I can highly recommend Bulthaup and Pieter and the team at Hobson’s Choice Winchester. Huge thanks to all involved, we are thrilled with everything.
