Succulent lamb & chicken. The food is amazing and delicious. I had the platter for 2 the food was really nice and it’s like the meat melts in your mouth with both the chicken and lamb food is cooked to perfection and service was great! Food came out perfect timing. Can’t complain must try!

Visited this place just over a week ago and once more since. I really enjoyed the food and the sitting area. The food is very good and well priced, the seating area is Arabian with a Majlis, very comfortable and I have to say a huge attraction. Never had an issue with timing and the only small downside I would say is that they don't have Strong Tea. Apart from that it's quite a good restaurant and I look forward to returning.

We were looking for a place to eat an evening meal, not knowing the area, never having been before. We simply walked in off the street after liking the look of the establishment from the outside. We were led to a table immediately by a very obliging young waiter, who happily guided us through an unfamiliar menu. Having decided on a banquet selection for two, which the waiter recommended as a suitable introduction to Syrian cuisine, we were served with chicken and lamb, with rice, a side salad and all the trimmings, which proved to be very filling. A thoroughly recommendable experience.

My mate and me went here to have evening meal and a catch up. The older waiter who always seems to be in that orange jumper has a poor command of the English language and l cannot speak Arabic, unfortunately. I went to use the toilet before l ordered and it is not cleaned regularly. The floor was wet and the soap dispenser was empty. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and this toilet hygiene needs to be improved. They have family booths with curtains, some have seating and some are floor based seating. The waiter took his time to ask us what we wanted. We ordered a mixed grill with savoury rice and two chicken shawarma wrap meals and extra complimentary water. The food was very tasty and l love the spicy sauce and the mayonnaise is nice too. The meal was fresh, tasty and my friend complimented the food but had reservations about the overall level of hygiene. I like this place but ordering can become awkward due to the language barrier. Overall l would give 5 stars if they could address the concerns highlighted. I am yet to sample the desserts but l'm confident that they shouldn't disappoint. Overall l would recommend this restaurant to others and especially if they like Middle Eastern cuisine ir perhaps want to try something different.

Lovely place, especially when you want your privacy for your family, however the food should be improved.The rice was a little old (from earlier in the day).The chicken was very dry, the meat was as good as it gets, and the koftas were also okay. We also had the Moroccan green tea and that was as expected.

The food at this place is banging!We had the mixed grill, mixed mezee and lentil soup with the usual bread.The mixed mezee was incredible! Love the hummus and combination with the other sauce. The falafels were very tasty!The soup was mild, light and not too heavy.The service - could have been better - the waiter unfortunately couldn’t speak very good English so wasn’t sure if he’d understood us, but turns out he did.Decor was simple but decent and the time we went it was quiet.Parking is horrendous as it’s small heath but if you can find parking defo recommend a visit to this place!

Syrian house is the best arab restaurant in Birmingham, chef Aziz is very skilled and a pleasure to deal with, he's kind and takes a lot of pride in his food. I ordered 2 whole lambs with rice for a dinner party and everything was delicious. The lamb was stuffed with vine leaves which was a great touch. He added complimentary salads and 3 grilled chickens as well. I highly recommend Syrian House for eat in, take away and catering.
