Stirling
Small, central shopping centre, 2 arcades with loads of stores. Also has quite a bit of historical architecture. Blue plaque history trail. Castle at the top of a hill. Beautiful place on a clear, sunny day

Centre ruined by repeated council development. Terrible shame that so many good shops have gone and the character has been ruined.

Good station. Well signposted and nice heated waiting rooms.. nice clean toilets as well. Staff are really helpful and information boards all over the place.

I'm a big fan of rail travel, though the prices these days are absurd. But this is a review of the Stirling Train Station, not the train network. Anyway, there's a decent cafe here, the ticket office seemed - to me at least - like a friendly place if you need to buy a ticket, and the ticket machines themselves work well - I never saw one that didn't work. But most importantly for people like me, this is a station that still carries some of the romance of the old train network. It's kept clean and looks well-supervised by the station staff, but above all else it retains the charm and attractiveness of the stations of my youth and of my nostalgic dreams.

Small train station, plenty of bars (two spoons), sports bars, restaurants and shops up the road from it. Only advice I would give is if you’re looking for a taxi from sterling then pre-book it, download a local Taxi app - they can be quite hard to find quickly!!!

1 of Scotland’s most historic cities. Follow a costumed guide through Stirling’s ancient, cobbled streets and gain insight into the city’s colorful past. Along the way, admire top city attractions including Stirling Castle and the Royal Burgh, and listen as a guide brings the city’s history to life. With a blend of comedy, drama and old-fashioned story-telling charm, learn what makes Stirling such a special place and hear the secrets that many visitors miss.

Did not have the privilege to stay long however my time time was splendid in nature. Take yourself to the top of the Waalace monument. You won't be disappointed.

It used to be a nice station until someone, probably out of boredom, decided to spend lots of taxpayers money to remove the drop off area. How innovative is that! As a next step I recommend to build a concrete wall around the station.
