The parmesan tapioca and spicy margarita were the perfect accompaniment and a great way to start my meal. Next I had the sea bream crudo, leche de tigre which was light and fresh. Hake for main, this was perfectly cooked. I finished with cream cheese semifreddo & blackberries, light, tasty and served on a beautiful chilled marble plate. The wine was also excellent, I had the Gavi.The service was second to none, friendly, efficient and personable.Everything about this restaurant is high quality, looking forward to visiting again.

We were excited for our 1st visit and things were promising with a buzzy, full restaurant and eclectic interior. Service whilst friendly was a bit stretched (a staff member called in sick) and not so attentive, e.g. we had to flag them down for drinks. Food-wise, we enjoyed the ricotta/beetroot but for the rest we were left wanting; overcooked and rubbery squid, very small pasta portion (tasty though) braised chickpeas with tinned sweetcorn!!! We felt food was overpriced relative to portion size, especially considering the ingredients. We would definitely return for sake cocktails and nibbles on the cosy sofas.

Very popular place and you can see why, the food is delicious and the wine list superb. Really lovely service too - destined to be a must-visit stop on the Hastings/ St Len’s foodie trail

A very good restaurant on the Kings Road St Leonards on Sea. Very close to the station and this is restaurant opened in 2023.The menu is excellent with lots of choices for all dietary requirements.The service is good with lots of tables and the space is decorated nicely.I had a lamb main which was delicious and a fish in sauce which again was superbGood choice of drinks lots of wine and i would recommend a visit here

We went for supper here last week. Food was amazing, atmosphere stylish and fun. High prices but top quality ingredient so you get what you pay for. Guinea fowl was delicious, lovely welcoming staff too so would recommend

Fabulous place to hang out in St Leonards. Bayte offers great cocktails, wines and food, depending on what kind of culinary experience you want it to be.All the food we had was well presented and cooked to perfection including the fish dishes we ordered. The Pork and pigeon dishes were an excellent choice too as I have never tasted anything like it. Highly, highly recommended, book to avoid disappointment.
