Used them for years always more than helpful. Always know wot I need even though I don't always know the correct name or size for wot I'm looking for .I can't fault them they have been very patient with me over the years .

Having already purchased lots of wall cladding product over a year ago (sample of which I had which I needed lots more to match) I phoned this shop a week ago and was told that they were to busy to talk, so I drove 5 miles to pay them a visit —on Thursday the 17th around 2pm.On arrival, the shop was empty then and there were NO CUSTOMERS IN THE SHOP but only myself, so waited a while.A salesman with a green top eventually approached me but I still had to wait while he was fiddling on his mobile; not talking.He told me to wait while he was still checking something.I told him that I had previously phoned and was told they were too busy to see to me ; and now that I am here in the shop, I am still having to wait while he was possibly busy serving someone else on his phone!On hearing this he did try to help me with no success to what I needed, and this was down to his total and basic unhelpfulness!MY COMMENTI believe that its only fair to give priority to customers, who has made the effort to appear in person, at any store.In this case, I had been disappointed on 2 occasions and believe that this was the very same salesman on both account; by phone and in store.If he was employed by me, I would sack him for discrediting this shop's good name.In the past, I have spent a lot of money in this shop.I have noted down the name of this product, and by hell or high waters I will never set foot in this shop again and will seek elsewhere for the same product.

I went to Davies DIY this morning.I needed items for a job my carpenter is in the process of doing.My carpenter normally does the buying of anything needed for the jobs he does for me.Due to commitments I went to Davies for materials.I must say the staff were excellent very helpful and made my buying of the materials I needed very easy.I definitely recommend Davies for such good service.
